The Saucy Willow Inn and Cottages

This lovely inn is a hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the place. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. They fully understand the hospitality industry! We arrived by boat and moored at a nearby marina (Thompson's in Coboconk) and spent 2 nights at the inn. It is easy to use the Trent Waterway System and travel to some of the interesting locks nearby. However, you don't need to go far as the inn is so charming and the atmosphere and decor create a very calming and relaxed vibe. Kick back and relax! The coach house is incredible - if you want to have a nice party, wedding or special event - this is the place for you! They are creating a spa as well and when we return, I will truly be in heaven! The house and property are extremely well maintained and it's history is fascinating. The website is good but the pictures don't quite do it justice. They have thought of everything. This is not a 4 star hotel - it is 5++!

Stephanie and Dave’s interactiveness, caring and extension of homely comforts at their inn was phenomenal. This was much needed whilst taking a break from the hustle and bustle of life. I was also impressed at the well oiled the operation. Thanks for the restful experience and the lovely sunshine.

This place is a real labor of love. The owners have completely renovated an old dilapidated property into a real show place. There are beautiful rooms in the main building with small en-suite bathrooms - all recently upgraded and decorated. There are also some cottages to rent which is what we did. Our cottage was immaculate and fully stocked with kitchen supplies. We arrived to a major heatwave so the air conditioning was much appreciated. The water is very clean and there are several docks so that people can spread out. It is recommended that you bring water shoes since the lake bottom is rocky and full of shells. But you can easily swim off the dock without having to touch the bottom. Although we did not use them, there are kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats for your use. Also a sauna. Continental breakfast is available for people staying in the main building. People in the cottages need to prepare their own breakfast. There is a supermarket a short distance away and a liquor store within easy walking distance. Also a few basic restaurants/takeout places within walking distance, but you are a short drive to other towns with more eating options. I highly recommend this place. The owners are obsessed with quality and nothing is overlooked.
