Kynrock Hotels & Resorts

My wife & I stayed at the Kynock Hotel & Resorts in Kataragama for 4 nights in early November. The Hotel is, I was told fairly new. It is located very near to the Kataragama Town & not very far from the pilgrimage area. We arrived just before the usual check in time. The checking process was quick & simple & efficiently done. The room we got was on the second floor although it had a 3 series number. (which I first thought would be the third floor ). The room itself was quite big, with a balcony overlooking what appeared to be paddy or some sort of cultivation stretching across. The first night I made a reservation at the hotel restaurant. One of the problems was that the access to the restaurant was through a flight of steep stairs. My wife was helped by some of the staff to go to the restaurant & back. I was told that there is easier access through a room, but on that day that particular room was occupied. We decided not to patronise the Restaurant, but to order room services as going up & down the stairs was too difficult for us. The room service meals we ordered were tremendous, the servings pretty big & the food very tasty. The service at the restaurant was pretty good & the staff extremely helpful. Checking out was a little slow, which they said was due to computer problems associated with the thunder storms the previous night. All in All it was a pleasant stay.
