We had a great time in Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa. This hotel is located directly near the river Chobe and offers boot trips directly from the hotel. Very nice place with wonderful sunsets. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The personal very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, very good and many different things to choose. They have different terraces to take the food, wonderful garden and trees. A nice swimming pool is also available. We will recommend this hotel 100 % for a stay in Chobe.

My wife & I stayed at Cresta Mowana, Kasane Region, Botswana in mid July 2025, for 2 nights. It was a great stay with excellent boat & Jeep safaris. The lodge is on the banks of the Chobe River and all rooms are River View. The Property is in a vast area with plenty of interesting view sit outs and good bars & restaurants. The food is good and more than enough. The sunsets, in the lodge, were to die for. The safaris were amazing esp the river safari. Got to see good sunrises & sunsets in the Chobe Park too. While we could not see a Lion (with mane), the other shots were terrific. The double beds are a little small for comfort, but overall good God bless!!

Pros: 1. the grounds are very appealing. Our room faced the Chobe River. 2..The food was plentiful and tasty. Cons: the room was not well designed. There’s not much space to put your things and we travel lightly. The bathroom lacks counter space, so there is no place to place a toiletry bag or Dopp kit. It also lacks towel rods and hooks, so that there’s no place to hang two wet towels. There is space for one, but we had two wet towels. The outdoor dining area was extremely dark at night, so one could barely see the person sitting across from you. We had to improvise lighting with a flashlight and a bottle of water. There are warning signs of dangerous animals on the property, so it was very disconcerting to walk back to our room, which was on the ground floor,in the dark.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package via Luxury Escapes. The hotel is very nice, beautiful grounds located right on the Chobe River. We were very happy with our room, spacious, comfortable beds, big bathroom and private balcony overlooking the river. We completed a river safari and 2 jeep safaris which we enjoyed, however were shocked by the number of jeeps allowed in to the park and how congested the roads were on the morning safari. Our guide (Pretty) was fantastic, his knowledge was incredible and he was clearly very passionate about his work. We ate all our meals at the hotel and were happy with breakfast and lunch, but not impressed with dinner. At dinner they appeared to be understaffed and it took a long time to get drinks or any assistance. The food at dinner was more traditional and was not what we expected for a hotel catering to international guests. The hotel has 2 restaurants, however they only open 1 in the evening for dinner. There was a conference on when we were there and they had the bar booked, which meant there was nowhere for other guests to have a drink at sunset or prior to dinner. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but would choose a smaller hotel next time if we return.

Die Lodge ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Sie ist relativ groß, hat schöne Zimmer, komfortabel und sauber. Es gibt schöne Plätze zum Relaxen und einen herrlichen Pool in der Nähe des Spa. Dort laufen auch kleine Affen neugierig herum. Frühstück ist gut. Man kann mittags und abends im Restaurant essen. Relativ großes Buffet und mit den Reisegruppen nicht so sehr gemütlich. Vor Ort gibt es ein Aktivitäten- Center, etwas umständlich. Die Rezeption ist sehr gut geführt. Wir haben Gamedrives in den Chobe NP unternommen. Schon auf dem Weg im Ort laufen viele Tiere umher, da es keine Zäune gibt, um den Tieren das Durchlaufen zu ermöglichen. Löwen, Elefanten, Antilopen, bunte Vögel, eine wunderschöne Landschaft! Wir haben auch Bootstouren unternommen, davon eine private mit nur uns als Gästen. Die Guides sind toll und haben uns viele Tiere sehen lassen. Vom Kingfisher bis zu den badenden Elefanten und Herden mit Elefantenbabies. Und einem unglaublichen Sonnenuntergang auf dem Fluss. Es gibt im Hotel auch eine gut sortierte Bar mit nettem Barman.

Excellent experience all around! Boat cruise, food and all staff were excellent. Malebogo Sechele was awesome, very friendly and always helpful.
