ibis Styles Karratha

I personally thought this property was overrated and super expensive for what you got. It was difficult to find the entry; it was dark and dingy and not well sign posted. Yes it has a restaurant and a pool etc, but not everyone is there for that. We paid over $400 for the night and once inside the room it was no different than one we paid $200 for the previous night. The water from the shower ran straight out as there was no base stopping it. The sugars had not been checked for goodness knows how long as they were soaked with dry coffee. We had paid for late checkout as we arrived late.. (checkout usually 10am, we were there til 11). At 9:20am, there was a continual bang on the door and then it opened with a woman calling housekeeping.?? So unprofessional I thought! Our shoes were outside the door so surely they realised someone was in there?

People knocking on doors for long periods of time in the middle of the night and others in groups outside the room talking for hours in the early hours of the morning. Shame because otherwise the facility and service was really good.

Tired and overpriced for average tourist. Handy to Karratha Shopping Centre and Integrity bus stop as we were utilising public transport for our visit along the west coast. Sadly this hotel is tired and needs a good makeover or knocking down and re-building. The adjacent ‘Sports bar’ is non-existent and likely long been closed due to more modern hotels charging comparable prices in the neighbourhood. The bistro was very lightly patronised for a school holiday period and with limited menu options. You can’t charge premium prices around $300.00 a night and only offer THREE star rooms and facilities.

There were no water bottles. Cleanliness wasn't up to the mark.
