"We stayed at Aston Karimun for 3 nights. We got a bad room. The window faced the wall, preventing sunlight from entering the room even if we opened the curtains. We found small cockroaches in the toilet area, ants on the side table, and spiders crawling on the bed. We complained to the receptionist and told them everything and asked for a room change of the same type. The next day after breakfast, the hotel upgraded us to an executive room. The room was very nice, large, and comfortable. Perhaps as a sign of appreciation for our experience in the previous room, which made us uncomfortable.  We are very grateful to the management and Aston staff who quickly took action on guest complaints. Thank you very much for the fast action and service. Will stay in Aston again when we go to Karimun."

"We stayed at 6th floor facing sea view,it was so nice you can see clearly all the activities at Coastal A4ea,sunset and sunrise view.The hotel got quite large swimming pool,you can rent bicycle for free as the lobby.Parking for car and motorcycle is spacious and well organiser.There is cafe at night inside hotel 1st floor,snooker area. The room is big,bed is very comfort,t.v channel all good.The aircond is soo cold.You can open your window to view the sea.Our room is just in front of the lift.They got 2 lift,very fast response when you push calling it.The reception was polite and support us.Breakfast serve at 0700-1000.It was just a basic one,but enough for us.Dining area quite large so can cater large customer. They allowed us to check out at 1400 with no charge,as our ferry was at 1500.But finally we check out at 1315 as there was rain clouds.From hotel to jetty only takes 5 minutes,very near.There is a lot of people jogging,walking,bicycling in early morning and sunset in front the hotel.At night you just can walk so many stalls around,variety of food and drinks. Overall i really satosfied with my stay and sure will repeat if coming 3rd time to Tanjung Balai Karimun.One thing you need to arrange is either rent a motorcycle or get a driver/tour to send you to the hotel from/to jetty,compares to others hotel nearby jetty area."

"The hotel is abit old. Initially when i entered the room, the floor is quite dirty with shreds all over the place and the aircon is not cold. But when i feedback to the staff, they are very friendly and had sent an engineer to fix the aircon. The bedsheets and pillow is quite rough and the bathtub is abit old too but could not be expect much with the amount being paid. One good thing about this hotel is the fridge is actually quite cold as compared to some big hotels. My mineral water was minimally frozen?!! There are also restaurants and a mart nearby so its actually not bad to stay."
