Mercure Saga Karatsu Resort ★★★★
"Carpets in room fairly faded and old. Toilet very small. Breakfast was good."
Hotel R9 the Yard Karatsu ★★★
"Amazing concept, I like how we can park cars right in front of the room. Customer service is great as well."
ONCRI-KARATSU ★★★
"This was my family's second visit after 6 years ago, and it was just as good. In particular, the free 45-minute use of the outdoor hot spring with a sea view was the best in terms of satisfaction and healing."
Asuka Hotel ★★
"The hotel is about a 12-13 minute walk from JR Karatsu Station. It's a bit far if you need to bring luggage, but taking a taxi is convenient. The hotel is situated in a residential area, making the environment very quiet. Shopping and restaurants are about a 5-8 minute walk away. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, but different sizes are available. Self-service laundry facilities are available for a fee."
Yoyokaku ★★★
"An antique and very unique Japanese hotel. The hotel staff are very nice, warm and keep their distance from guests. If the hotel can provide free shuttle service to Karatsu Station all day long, it will be impeccable."
Taiboukaku ★★★★
"There is a surprise in Tangjin, a small treasure town ~ I want to try the live squid (Huzi)! Every room in the hotel has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Koko Bridge and Kabe Island, which is suitable for self-driving! The market next door and the Natoya Castle Ruins Museum are recommended!"
Kokuminshukusha Hadomisaki ★★★
"Very nice place away from the crowd. The hotel fees include dinner and breakfast. Very quiet and rooms facing the sea. Perfect place to relax. Staff have been exceptionally welcoming and kind. Would love to go back there for holiday again. Take note that there's no bathroom inside the Japanese style room. And you have to drive 5mins to the closest convenience store."
OnoueRyokan ★★
"The ocean view was amazing. The food was delicious!"
Grand Base Karatsu Ekiminami ★★★
"The access from Karatsu Station was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable stay. The only downside was the pink mold throughout the bathroom. Please ensure thorough cleaning."

Karatsu Seaside Hotel
A public beach complements the seaside location, with an outdoor swimming pool, hot springs, sauna, restaurant and free station pick-up also available.
Sea Style Resort Ocean
"Book when the room price is lower, the price/performance ratio is super high. The store is directly facing the seaside, with beautiful sea views, and is also close to the historical windbreak pine forest of Niji no Matsubara. The interior decoration is simple and tidy. The public activity area can be used for cooking, laundry, and clothes drying rods. The waiters are very friendly. A small hotel that is comfortable to stay in all the time."
Mizuno Ryokan
"A charming hot spring hotel with a limited number of rooms, each with its own dedicated staff. Located right next to Saga Castle, it's within walking distance, and the rooms face the sea – everything is just perfect."
Jonai Hotel
"I liked the hotel atmosphere because it gave off an old Japanese vibe. The person checking in was friendly and nice."
Onyado Kaishu
"The facilities are old, so they are at the level of cheap Korean inns. The rooms, tatami mats, and bedding are old and unclean. However, the location is close to the city and Karatsu Castle, and it is connected to the cafe street. Above all, the breakfast and dinner are authentic Japanese food, which makes up for the old facilities. And the price is cheaper than other inns. If you want a clean hotel in a pine forest next to the beach, stay at the Seaside Hotel (east side), and if you want a Japanese accommodation with cheap Japanese food, this inn seems sufficient."
Ryokan Matsunoi
Riverside Hotel Karatsu Castle
"The view from the room was amazing, and the room itself was very clean. We received a welcome beer and could also enjoy coffee, so I'd say the service was excellent. The only amenity provided was a toothbrush; it would have been nice to have a small mirror for makeup."
Hotel Karae
"Lovely modern hotel, spotlessly clean, smallish room, great bath. Excellent position in centre of town close to station. Very quiet and comfortable. Highly recommended."
