We also enjoyed the food, which was fresh and tasty. What we appreciated most was the cleanliness, warm hospitality, and family-friendly environment. "Norbu The Montanna is set in a secluded location with decent views, but unfortunately the overall experience did not justify the premium positioning. The property is quite far from the main attractions, making it inconvenient for those wanting to explore the area. While the staff were young, energetic, courteous, and eager to help, the service lacked the warmth, attention to detail, and refined hospitality one would typically expect from a Taj-managed property. The “Tajness” that guests associate with the brand was noticeably missing. The food and beverages were significantly overpriced for the quality and experience offered. Overall, the property felt average rather than memorable. The enthusiastic staff are certainly an asset and have the potential to elevate the guest experience, but as it stands, I would probably give this property a miss and consider other options in the region."

"This June, I booked a standard room at a premium rate, expecting a comfortable stay. Instead, I was assigned a room on the ground floor, with a view of nothing but a wall covered in moss and dirt. For the price being charged, the quality of the room was far below expectations and certainly not comparable to what one would expect from a property positioned at this level. I raised my concern to the front desk and requested assistance, the management showed interest in resolving the issue and offered an upgrade which was a meaningful support by Abhishek Rana. I would recommend future guests to check the floor before booking standard room. The pricing reflects a high-end category, but unfortunately, the room quality does not."

"I have stayed in welcome heritage properties and most of them are comfortable, clean and decent. I never expect luxurious stays here . But being welcome heritage property one is assured about cleanliness and courtesy. As soon as we entered the property the electricity went off . Anyways the lights were on soon enough as we entered our rooms. We had three rooms for five ppl. Bathrooms were dirty with hair on the floor . My daughter’s bathroom and ours had leakage too. Staff was rude and food was not upto the mark. A wedding had taken place and all the place a complete mess. The grounds were not at all kept in good condition. They served us very reluctantly. Next day as we were checking out they gave us a guided tour of the palace and surprisingly the tour guide was very nice and made us feel welcome in the property . But too late and too little I guess ."
