I originally booked Grand, but who knew it was canceled for no reason before I checked in. I was really speechless. Then I was forced to change to this hotel when I was playing. This hotel has a good environment, but the location is too far away, and there is nothing around. Originally, Kandy is a mountain city, so it is inconvenient to eat. Actually, the overall view from the top of the mountain is not as good as what I booked before. In fact, I can’t see anything, because I passed by for dinner, and the location of the grand is excellent. The room facilities are old, the roof is covered with blisters, the service is not bad, the price is high, and the price/performance ratio is not high. Breakfast is also ordered.

This a beautiful boutique hotel nestle in the hills above Kandy. The room was a good size, but not huge. All the things available that you would expect from a good hotel, there were no bedside tables though which would have been useful. The views from the room and hotel terrace were amazing. The swimming pool (if a little cold) and sunloungers were welcome after a day sightseeing. Drinks and dinner on the terrace over looking Kandy was a great way to end the day. The food was delicious too. Would recommend this hotel as a good base to explore Kandy and surrounding areas away from the heat, hustle and bustle of the town.

Theva is a hidden gem! My room had the most amazing view I've ever seen. The bed was large and so comfortable. I'm vegan and the restaurant made me such high quality food. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the train station and you could easily get here with a tuk tuk for about 1000LKR. The stuff was really sweet too. I would recommend staying here if you want to get out of the city for some relaxation.

We stayed here for three nights, and really enjoyed it. Our room had an excellent view over the city, and the restaurant terrace had an even better one! Really spectacular, especially as the sun went down. Drinking a cocktail there after the meal was a real highlight of our trip. The food was excellent, with a good choice of both Sri Lanka and International meals, and the staff, particularly as they got to know us during the stay, were friendly, professional and efficient. They made an extra effort on the evening of my wife's birthday, with flowers and chocolates in the room. It is quite out of the way, up a narrow twisty road, which might be an issue for some people, although it is on the right side of town for the railway station which is a benefit. The room was very spacious and comfortable, but some of the furniture seemed a bit dated and due for refreshment. Apart from that we had no complaints at all. A lovely place to stay as a base for visiting Kandy.

I had a wonderful stay at Theva Residency. The hotel is located in a quieter part of Kandy with lovely views and easy access to the city center, as it is well-known among drivers in the area. I especially loved the small alcove above the pool where I had my meals, the small balcony attached to my bedroom, and the delicious food! Theva's in-house restaurant makes everything from scratch, even the pastries, and the menu has some unique items that are not always easy to find elsewhere on the island. The staff is kind, hospitable, and helpful as well. I definitely recommend stopping off at Theva during your travels to Kandy.

The views over Kandy ,the service and food are the big positive features of this small hotel . Do get a room with a balcony to enjoy the spectacular views.The staff are a delight whilst the chef is particularly talented .the food was some of the best we enjoyed in sri lanka . Our room was comfortable but starting to feel a little tired especially the bathroom.

The best point of view I’ve seen in my life, cuisine is AMAZING (thanks to the Valentine’s cocktail 20/20), rooms was clean, little bit far from center but if you want calm just go (you can observ monkeys squirrel and bird as well, and special thanks to all the staff !
