I really enjoyed my stay at the City View hostel. I was going to stay for just one night but spent four nights there. The host Manoj was really welcoming and gave me the whole bunch of useful travel tips. The room is light, spacious and clean, there are lockers to keep your valuable stuff in the room and a fridge and a stove in the kitchen. I got clean bedsheets and a towel and really appreciated a hot shower. The hostel is right in the city center, walking distance from the train station and the bus stand. I'm definitely going to recommend it to my friends and stay there myself when I come back to Kandy.

Great location, wonderful view from the window. Calm, cozy and atmospheric place. Clean, spacious and there is hot water (few places I met her in Sri Lanka). Friendly, polite owner, will help and support. Here you can stay more than a couple of days and enjoy the rest.

Kandy was one of my favorite cities in Sri Lanka and the owner, Manoj, is a true gem. You can’t go wrong with staying at his welcoming, clean, and comfortable hostel in the heart of the city and home to a sacred UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hope to see you again, Manoj, on another journey!
