The Trees, Kandy was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. We were welcomed by staff with tea and beautiful lotus flowers. The pool provides fantastic view of Kandy. It’s a shame that our stay coincided with the crowds for the sacred exposition of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha, otherwise we would have enjoyed our stay more. There were a few times staff did forget our orders at breakfast and at the bar, but other than than, thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

The room was nice and standard. There was no hot water when I took a shower in the morning. The breakfast was simple and there were few choices. The overall service was good. The room was a bit noisy if it was close to the road. The view from the lobby was OK.

The hotel is relatively new, the scenery is nice, and the rooftop infinity pool is a standout. But it can't guarantee 24-hour hot water. If you use it a little more, you have to wait 45 minutes for the water to boil...

Facilities: The facilities are very new and should be relatively good in this area. There is an infinity pool on the top floor, and the view of the town is great.

The roof bar was really nice. Went there to have some drinks and enjoy the view. Actuallybetter view than from the view point. Nice and friendly staff, made really good drinks. About the hotel, don't know how is, but it looks very nice too. If you just wanna relax after a hectic day the Roof bar is a place to be.

I am writing to share my recent experience at the trees hotel. I had visited the hotel on three occasions for morning breakfast and twice for evening coffee with my family. On all three occasions we regret to share our experience fell short of our expectations. Unfortunately the food quality was mediocre on all three visits. On my recent visit I experienced something wrong with my afternoon cake and returned it, only to be charged for it which was so disappointing. Throughout my visits, I noticed a lack of warmth, and friendliness from staff and not once did a manager come around and welcome us which contributed to my overall disappointment. I genuinely wanted to enjoy my experience at trees hotel and have given them the benefit of doubt hoping for a better experience, but it never happened.
