This was my second time staying at Latitude 0 Degrees, and unfortunately, it will be my last. My previous visit in 2022 was fantastic, but this time was an absolute nightmare. The hot water in the shower did not work in room 203, so we were moved to room 209, but the situation didn’t improve. We reported this to management, but our concerns were initially ignored. It wasn’t until I requested a refund so I could move to another hotel that they made an effort to address the issue. Even then, the problem was only partially resolved. On one occasion, I had to leave the hotel without showering because I had plans, which was extremely inconvenient. To make matters worse, the hotel has a rule against bringing in outside food or drink, which I found absurd, especially since my group discovered a shisha bong in one of the rooms. We were told that having a license for it made it permissible—such a ridiculous and inconsistent policy. Despite enduring two weeks of luke warm/cold showers, poor water pressure, and frustrating service, no compensation was offered for the inconvenience. Food service was also disappointing; it often took over an hour to arrive, and when it did, it was sometimes cold. Additionally, bills would only be presented when it seemed like we were about to leave. Latitude 0 Degrees has fallen far from the excellent service I experienced during my first stay. I checked out on the 9th of January and am still waiting for compensation for the many inconveniences we endured. I would not recommend staying here until they address these serious service issues.
