Atagawa Onsen Blue Ocean
"The staff were patient and meticulous, and they even offered service in Chinese, which was a great bonus. The room was spacious and bright, giving a wonderful sense of openness and making for a very comfortable stay. Considering the price, the value for money is outstanding, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. The only minor drawback was the weak Wi-Fi signal, which might be a bit inconvenient for guests who rely heavily on the internet. However, this is a small issue that doesn't detract from the overall quality, and I still highly recommend it."
Hokkawa Onsen Hotel
"Facilities: Only 300m from Irozaki hot spring, facing the sea. They have staff who speak Chinese, and there's a shuttle bus to Kitagawa Station at fixed times. Experience: The beautiful Izu Station sign says that if you make a wish under the moonlight on a full moon night, it will come true. How touching! And you can make a wish at the rooftop open-air hot spring at night. Bonus: There's a self-service drink machine on the 2nd floor, good for when you're thirsty. Summary: The most beautiful part of Japan is its countryside. There isn't even a 7-Eleven here, just a small Mola mola (sunfish) shop where the grandma and grandpa only accept cash. You can fish by the shore, and on a clear day, the sea is crystal clear and icy cold. Paired with the warm water of Irozaki hot springs, it makes you forget about time. At night, the moonlight spreads across the sea like a shimmering blanket. Make a wish on the full moon; beauty transcends nationality. I just wish for world peace."
Isaribi
"Beautiful scenery, facing the sea. Listen to the sound of the waves. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Enjoy a peaceful life. Give it a try."
Izu Atagawa -Yubana Mankai -Adult Only-
"The room seems newly furnished and it’s very clean and spacious. Nicely decorated. The hotel has 6 private onsens and we had tried the indoor one which is a good size and clean onzen room. The hotel is in the onsen hotels area and seems not easily to get there. We came there by driving so it is convenient as they offer Carpark which is just beside hotel."
Hotel Shinayoshi
"This hotel is frequented by many elderly Japanese guests. Although it's a bit old, the service is excellent. It's not crowded with Chinese tourists. The grandfather at the front desk was very welcoming, carrying our suitcases and confirming our room details. All the staff were very friendly. The room, though old, was very clean, which my mother loved. She wanted to stay longer. For some reason, there were very few Chinese tourists, making it very quiet. The outdoor bath was also very clean and uncrowded, allowing us to enjoy the open-air hot spring all to ourselves! The meals were plentiful, and it was my first time experiencing a two-meal-per-night stay – a truly pleasant experience!"
Inatoriso
"Very good onsen hotel for family and nice onsen and good quality of food."
Izu Imaihama Tokyu Hotel
"Have free of charge self service washing and drying machine. And have shuttle bus to train station."
Dogashima Land Hopia
"The location was lovely. (best) I cannot recommend anything else. I was charged separately for the sheets. I was also concerned about the smell in the room."
Isoaruki No Yuyado Ushiogumo - 6 Years or Older
"The breakfast and dinner provided were both delicious and beautifully prepared. We stayed for two nights and were offered different meals each day. Our room had a private hot spring bath facing the ocean, available 24/7, and the water temperature was wonderfully high. The staff at the inn were excellent; they even drove all the way to Izu Kogen Station to pick us up when we arrived in heavy rain."

ATAGAWA YAMATOKAN
"After watching the Atami fireworks festival, I arrived at the hotel at 11:00 PM. The front desk was deserted, and no one answered even when I called or rang the bell. At 11:30 PM, an elderly man finally showed up... but he spoke so slowly that the translation app didn't work, so communication was completely blocked. 🤣 The room was really large and clean, just like in the anime, but it didn't have a private bathroom! (You only get a random room type when you book, so maybe other rooms have bathrooms. 😭) So I had to use the bathhouse on the second floor. 😭 (I went there in the morning and again after 11:00 PM, and they were all booked! It was still hard to take a bath in the bathhouse without clothes in front of strangers. 😭)"
Atagawa Ocean Resort
"We booked the largest room type, but I think the sea view might actually be better in the standard rooms, as our room was located right on the far side. The lobster was pretty mediocre, so I wouldn't recommend booking the set meal. However, the breakfast and dinner buffets were quite good. I'd suggest going to the hot springs around 9 AM after breakfast; you'll practically have the place to yourself as it closes at 10 AM and doesn't reopen until the afternoon."
Hotel Cetus Royal
"Facilities: Great and spacious, perfect for friends traveling together. Environment: Excellent! The hot springs are beautiful, and there's a piano in the lobby. It's very close to both the ocean and public transportation. Service: Very thoughtful and attentive. Everyone was delighted."
Inatori Ginsuiso
"Stay in treditional japanese style room. Good ocean views scenery and very large 5 futon room. Onzen is very large in both indoor and outdoor, complete with both hot and cold onzen. comes with lots of drink and dessert served in nearly 24 Hrs during stay. Breakfast buffet was very good. Recommended for couple or family stay. Can stay here all day and night without need to go anywhere else."
Ryokan Hanareya Ishidaya
"My husband really likes it, but I think it's just so-so, too old."
Dogashima New Ginsui
"This hotel in Nishi-Izu has an excellent location, within walking distance of Tenso Island. The parking lot is spacious, and the hotel offers a wide range of entertainment facilities on the first floor. The restaurant is also very good, with an abundant selection of food."
Nishiizu Matsuzaki Itoen Hotel
"This is the only large onsen hotel in Matsuzaki, Izu. The decor is rather old, and all rooms have balconies facing the sea. Cleanliness is average; there's a lot of dust, especially around the air conditioning vents, which are covered in dust and can't be turned on. The buffet has a limited selection and average quality, but it offers unlimited drinks, including beer, sake, shochu, and wine, which is quite rare. The large public bath is indoors and not very big; there's no outdoor onsen. There's a ping-pong and snooker area on the rooftop."
Hotel Katara Resort&Spa
"Our family of four stayed at Hotel Katara in Shizuoka ☺︎ We were a little worried because we have two children, but the staff were very kind and we were able to relax. The room was spacious and clean, and the ocean view was amazing ✨ The hot springs had a wide variety of baths, which the whole family could enjoy. In particular, the children's pool and playground were excellent and the kids had a blast! The buffet style meals had a wide variety of dishes, and both adults and children were very satisfied. It is close to the sea and tourist attractions, making it the perfect hotel for a family trip 🌊 We would definitely like to stay there again!"
Bousui
"Extremely satisfied! I was very pleased with everything – the environment, facilities, service, and cleanliness. The breakfast area was a little hidden, which took some finding, but it was very rich and delicious. There was even a dedicated staff member assisting, which was a very thoughtful touch."
Hotel Shikino Kura
"The staff are very polite and always willing to help. The room is big and comfortable. The sound-proof work is also effective, so I hardly hear any noise from rooms nearby. However, note that the hotel is in the middle of a mountain. If you don’t drive, you have to rely on the car service which the hotel offers (free of charge but not always available). It is almost impossible to go by foot. However, I must say the hotel staff has always tried their best to cater your needs, which I appreicate very much."
Izu Hotel Resort & Spa
"It was absolutely amazing here. Could not recommend more. We would recommend to all of our friends and family."
Robatakan
"Lady is very Hospitality. The ryokan is very retro but facilities is modernized. Onsen room is small but good enough for a few people. When I was there no other guests were there so I enjoyed the onsen by my self."
Gyokusui -Adult Only-
"Wonderful hotel. Great staffs, great environment, rooms are so clean, we tried 2 different style of rooms and they both are great. Great good too. Nothing bad. Have air-con which is I really needed. I love this hotel."
HOTEL & RESORT IZUNONE
"The front desk is very welcoming, the service is thoughtful, and the room is very clean. For transportation, you need to call the front desk, and they will arrange a shuttle to Izu Atagawa Station. You need to inform the front desk in advance for breakfast, otherwise there is no restaurant or supermarket nearby."
Il Azzurri
"The room is very big, with a bathtub on the balcony. It is a renovated old American-style apartment. Compared with other hotels in Izu, it is very cost-effective. The breakfast is rich, the waiters are very polite, and the key is that there is an Australian waiter brother. There is no problem communicating in English. If you mind the public bath, there are special covering clothes to wear. There is a laundry room. There is a foot bath in the lobby directly facing Dojima to watch the sunset. There are basically free new snacks and drinks every day, and you can take them back to the room. Except for the poor sound insulation, everything else is impeccable. The hotel's buffet dinner is a bit expensive, with few categories, and the cost-effectiveness is not high"
Kagiya
"This guesthouse, chosen for my trip to Minami-Izu, wasn't far from the city center. Service: They started accepting guests after 3 PM, offered parking, and provided welcome drinks. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and seeing we were a bit excited because there weren't many tourists, they were especially kind. Environment: As we were a family of four, the manager upgraded us to a larger room, which we were very grateful for. The environment was lovely, quiet, and clean, and the room snacks were delicious. Cleanliness: Although it had a slightly dated feel, everything was kept impeccably clean. We could even book bed-making time. The public bathhouse was also very clean and comfortable. Facilities: The public bathhouse was incredibly comfortable; it was so pleasant to have a beer outside. It wasn't crowded. We only booked breakfast this time, and the variety was great and delicious. There's also a small bar on the first floor where you can have coffee. In short: A very welcoming guesthouse! We experienced the joys of rural life, and the elderly guests were so adorable!!!"
