While the room itself was fairly clean, there was a lingering smell of cigarette in the room that did not quit. The location is very convenient and we had no issues with the staff whatsoever. We'd have enjoyed our stay a lot more without the above noted smell.

Dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever seen. The filth on the heater, walls, floors etc was unbelievable. Mattresses are ancient as is bedding. Looked like it was normally rented by the hour. Absolutely disgusting. It looks like owners don’t even make any attempts to clean. Spend your money elsewhere

Stayed here recently because I was having an issue in my apartment with the smoke alarm making noise, I had to sleep in my car and needed a good nights sleep (so I booked here). The only good thing I can say is that the bed was clean and somewhat comfortable. The rest of it was awful. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and the curtains had old cigarette burns in them. BUT the absolute worst part was the shooting in the room above me at 2:30 AM. I didn’t sleep much at all, and it was extremely frightening (female, staying alone). I know it’s not the motel’s fault but they were not willing to help me in any way.

Note to any prospective guests: view only most recent reviews. Ignore older reviews, as I think this motel might be under new management that doesn't have a clue what North American minimum standards are for a hotel/motel room. I occasionally "slum" it, to save a few bucks. In this case I thought too to support one of the independents instead of the chain hotels in the area. This was the worst hotel room I've ever stayed at in my life. If the cost was $50/night, instead of $150, it would have still been overpriced. Room was in "fair" shape, with a hole in the bathroom door (only on one side though). The frame around the entrance door had the appearance that maybe someone had tried to kick it in at one point. As a result the deadbolt was out of alignment and I couldn't lock it from the inside. Air conditioner was loud, thus not much use at night. It had fan settings of loud and louder. The button on it that appeared to be a night/sleep setting yielded one of the louder options. I could have tolerated all of the above if it weren't for the horrible stench of old cigarette smoke in the room. Looking at other reviews, this appears to be common, even though it's supposedly all non-smoking and they even have a strict warning on the agreement about smoking in rooms. How does a room with a non-smoking decal on the door smell like it had been lived in by a chainsmoker for the past 20 years? At times my eyes were mildly irritated, the smell was so bad. I thought I was getting a buzz off it, but then that was probably the wildfire smoke. I'm at home now washing my clothes to get the stench out. Smokers are such awful people; why do we tolerate them in society still? Just awful. Stay away. Pay the extra $50 and stay at the Fairfield or whatever.

Horrible room. Broken glass on the floor. The floor was absolutely filthy. 2 requests to speak with management were snubbed. Air conditioner looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. If you are looking for a place to stay, pay extra to stay somewhere else.

Rated exceptional on Expedia..well, that was a complete lie. Flea bag motel is more like it. Room 200 Room smelt terrible - smoke smell mixed with air freshener and nasty cooking smells, floor had stains - so much so kept our shoes on till the last minute and climbed into bed, wallpaper peeling, comforter had burn marks in it. Then, finding out this morning, the main door didn't actually close. Even though the deadbolt was turned, nothing latched, and the door was pulled right open this morning without turning the handle down. I thought about using a black light, but after driving all day, I just needed sleep and hoped for the best. We chose it for its proximity to the hwy and ots exceptional rating on *******. The only positive was that the bed was comfortable, but I was not sure the last time the fleece quilt or comforter got washed, so I only slept with the top sheet. The door that joined our room, did not go to the ground, and there we towels shoved under the door. Gross, don't stay here!!

We went to Kamloops to attend the 55+ Senior's Games. A friend booked the motel for the whole group and it turned out to be a mistake! We checked into the hotel on August 23rd, to room #211. There's heavy smoking and old carpet smell in the room so when we left the room on 24th morning I flipped the switch on for the ceiling fans, hoping it would reduce the smell. The fans ran with some noise. When we returned around 7pm, we were told by the person on night duty that one of the fans fell from ceiling and a charge HAD BEEN PLACED on my credit card to hold us responsible! The room was already tidied up by that time and I didn't even see the fan. I was only told that no one got hurt. It should have been me holding them responsible for failing to maintain their property! I talked to the superintendent next morning and explained the situation. I was assured then when we check out the charge will be reversed! No apologies were even offered! But it wasn't! The owner wanted to keep the charge, apparently hoping to sneak the cost on my credit cart statement since there were so many debits for the month for our travel even though they knew very well the charge would not stay should I choose to dispute!!! What a sham and so shameful! Avoid it if you can or demand a statement upon checking out!

It was one night so our expectations are not high. The place is clean but only just. Rooms clean but in need of repair. Our bathroom door had a hole covered in packing tape. Curtains sdidnt have all their hooks. And more. Outside hallways (stairs only) are dirty and run down. It could be good but not kept up.
