We had a great stay at Scandic Kalmar. Pretty much everything was good — the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was generous and tasty. The location is convenient, with easy access to both the city center and nearby attractions. Overall, a pleasant experience and we would definitely consider staying here again.

No lifts, no way to make coffee or tea in the room. You have to book for breakfast, which is on the first floor without a lift. Generally, if the management could make a decision to make it more difficult and annoying for the guest, they did it.

Food for thoughts!
Ingen gillar öl på burk. Alla gillar bacon och stekta ägg till frukost. Riktiga frallor med vallmo frön gillas också. Vi som reser i arbetet ständigt är av gamla skolan. Scandic i västerås hade dessutom allsvenskan på tv i loungen. (hade förr iallafall). Jag och mina kolleger bor på hotell minst 6 månader om året och scandic är hittills vanligast... P.S personalen var topp!!

The Scandic Kalmar West has everything you need. Although it was situated outside the centre of Kalmar, there was an excellent bus connection to Kalmar and the surrounding area.

One of our worst experience ever in a hotel. Can’t recommend it at all. Filthy, over priced, bad bed, uncleaned.

Small family room. Rooms were quite warm in the night, and there was no air conditioner. No fridge. Parking was free. There was a small pool and sauna also some small playroom for the kids. There was a lot of white 'chalk' from the water in the bathroom floors.

Very friendly staff, quick check in, dog friendly, nice little indoor pool, a lot of parking space. Overall a good hotel to stop at along they way!
