Rhodian Rose Hotel ★★★

📍 Athinodorou str, Kallithea

"I stayed at this property during the middle week of August, and with each passing day, I felt more and more like I was having a terrible experience! Let's start with the rooms: the sheets weren't exactly clean; in fact, I can say they weren't changed the entire week; they simply made the beds, making fun of us. The room, like the never-cleaned sheets, was consequently always dirty (I found my own hair on the floor the evening after returning from the beach). Air conditioning? You have to pay for it. The safe? You have to pay for it, and not in the room, but in the hotel lobby. Believe it or not, in the hotel lobby. You have to pay for it. Absurd. Not to mention the hot water... only if you shower from 7:00 in the morning until 7:00 p.m., then that's it... then you can get sick from the cold shower water. The Wi-Fi is good, but not very good. Let's move on to breakfast? It wasn't anything special. Let's move on to the owner's behavior, and especially that of the owner's mother. Don't be fooled by her smiles and super helpfulness; I found her very fake and hypocritical. The mother? Rude and very mean. I'll tell you an example: One morning, we arrived in the lobby at 8:00 AM for breakfast because we had to go on a boat trip that morning, and she very meanly didn't turn on the coffee machine, even though breakfast was from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. I won't even bother recounting the rest of the incidents in which she was rude to us. This one is definitely the most egregious. I strongly advise against this place for Italian tourists. You should do much better."

Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel

Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel ★★★★

📍 Leof. Kallitheas, Kallithea

"I chose this hotel because of its excellent location and because I have had wonderful experiences with the neighboring Blue Sea Beach Hotel, where I have stayed at least five times and have always been 100% satisfied. Unfortunately, this stay was a huge disappointment. The biggest issue was what I believe to be the hygiene standards related to the food. Both my partner and I suffered from stomach problems during our stay. Thankfully, the symptoms lasted only about a day, but for several days afterward we had to be extremely careful about what we ate. We avoided raw foods, ice in drinks, and the water from the hotel dispensers, choosing bottled water instead. What concerned me the most was hearing that several other guests had experienced similar stomach issues. If this is indeed a recurring problem, I believe the hotel's hygiene standards should be thoroughly investigated. On the positive side, the beach is absolutely beautiful, the sea is crystal clear, and the surroundings of the hotel are lovely. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and clean, with a very nice bathroom. Overall, however, I cannot recommend this hotel because getting sick during a holiday is simply unacceptable. If you are considering staying in this area, I would highly recommend the neighboring Blue Sea Beach Hotel instead. Although it is officially a four-star hotel, in my experience it offers a much higher standard of food quality and overall service than this five-star hotel."

"My family and I stayed for five nights, and by the second night, we were already dreading the rest of our stay. Firstly, the food was very disappointing. It was the same food every single day. The dinner buffet was very average, especially considering this is a highly rated all-inclusive resort. The food was repetitive and lacked flavour. The only decent night was the Mexican-themed night. Breakfast was exactly the same every day, with no changes or new items, so it quickly became very boring. The food at the pool bars was also the same every day. The crêpes were not nice at all, and the chicken at the bars was extremely salty. Overall, the food was not good. In my room, the shower leaked every time I used it, causing large puddles of water outside the shower, even when I placed a towel on the floor. The pillows were also far too soft, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Another issue was the availability of sunbeds. You have to wake up extremely early to secure one. My father had to get up at 6 a.m.; otherwise, all the sunbeds would have been taken. The ice cream at the pool bars also costs €4.50 per item. For example, one Oreo ice cream bar was €4.50. For an all-inclusive resort, especially considering the price we paid, I don’t think guests should have to pay extra for something like this. The slides were another disappointment. Only one slide is open at a time, which isn’t very enjoyable for children. You can end up waiting hours for each slide to open, meaning there is very little variety or excitement when it comes to using the slides. On top of this, we also had to pay an additional fee when we arrived. For the five of us, it was around €175, which was another unexpected expense. However, I have to say that the staff were very welcoming, positive, and kind towards us. The facilities themselves were also good, and the supermarket upstairs was very nice and had reasonable prices. Unfortunately, despite the friendly staff and good facilities, I would not recommend staying here. For the price we paid, I expected a much better experience, and I will not be returning."

"I had an excellent massage experience with Yiannis. From the moment the session started, I felt completely at ease thanks to his professional and calming approach. He has an exceptional ability to identify areas of tension and work through them effectively, leaving me feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed. Yiannis combines skill, technique, and attention to detail to release muscle tightness and relieve stress. After the session, I noticed a significant improvement in both my physical comfort and overall sense of well-being. I highly recommend Yiannis to anyone looking for a high-quality massage. Whether you're dealing with muscle tension, stress, or simply want to unwind, you're in very capable hands. A truly outstanding experience that I look forward to repeating."

"Cannot fault this beautiful, quiet and spotless place to stay. Rooms huge with everything provided in the kitchenette including a dolce gusto coffee machine and full size fridge/freezer. Really comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Towels changed every day. Pool towels provided. No pool bar or music which made for a perfect relaxing time around the pool which was never busy. A very hot week of around 38 degrees but not once was there any problem of being able to get a sunbed/umbrella, in fact it was so quiet and even on the busiest day there were only around 16 people around the pool. On the day we left we were able to keep our room until 7pm at no extra cost as we had a late flight. A superb place to stay. Also plenty of restaurants nearby, a couple of beaches which were fairly busy. Bus stop just up the drive for Rhodes old town, which is fabulous. Will definitely return to these studios. Just perfect in every way."

"The pool bar is awful—the soft drinks are served warm, almost hot enough to brew tea in them. The elderly animator’s behavior is also unacceptable, constantly addressing women as 'Shakira' or 'Mamazita.' It’s a real shame that Nino isn’t here anymore; he actually knew how to connect with everyone properly.""

"We’ve stayed at Anika Studios a few times now and it never disappoints. The family and staff are brilliant, always welcoming, and the food is absolutely amazing — with cocktails to match. The pool is perfect for relaxing during the day or unwinding after the beach. Great location, great price, and a place we’ll keep coming back to."

Mitsis Selection Alila ★★★★★
"We stayed at Mitsis Selection Alila for several days. While the hotel itself is beautiful and well located, our experience was unfortunately not as relaxing as expected. Some of the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly, especially one man working at the beach bar (around 45–50 years old, dark hair tied back and beard) who was quite rude and only seemed attentive to certain guests. Another staff member in the main restaurant was also impolite and impatient. There was constant noise in the hallways — loud children, doors slamming, and even staff knocking several times a day while we were trying to rest. Twice during the night, the fire alarm went off at 3 a.m., and no one came to explain what was happening. The food variety was limited and repetitive, and some dishes looked like leftovers from the day before. Overall, it’s a beautiful place, but for the price and reputation of a 5-star hotel, the service quality and organization need serious improvement. We hope management takes these comments seriously — the hotel has potential to be amazing if they truly listen to guest feedback."

Rhodian Rose Hotel ★★★
"After visiting Rhodian Rose with my partner in June, reading the reviews as a 2* hotel, we were sceptical but I must say our expectations were greatly exceeded. Location was perfect, a 2 minute walk from amenities such as bars and restaurants and a 10 minute walk from the beach where you can purchase sunbeds to use all day. Rooms are cleaned daily and the beds are very comfortable. Staff are unbelievably friendly and accommodating as we arrived (1am) after reception closed and our key was left waiting for us with an information pack. Only a few down sides to this hotel. The first being the breakfast. If you are like us and don’t mind a light breakfast, of toast, cereal, and fruit it meets your needs however no hot option available after about 9am. Sunbeds were an issue even when the hotel wasn’t at full capacity as we went to get a sunbed at 9am to find them all reserved by towels (with no one sitting on a single bed). Finally the extra charge for air conditioning. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat for the price we payed it was an absolute steal!!!"

Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel ★★★★
"Just back from a 10 night family holiday at Pegasos and whilst we enjoyed our holiday overall and tried to make the best of it, there were far too many negatives and we didn’t feel that we got value for the price we paid. First of all, prior to arriving, I’d already read other reviews of guests being allocated a room which wasn’t what they had booked and sure enough, when we got to our room after arriving in the middle of the night (which although newly renovated), we found it was quite small for a family of 4 and it overlooked the road/carpark and next to what looked like treatment works and waste ground at the side of the hotel. I immediately raised our concerns, but was told it was too late at night to change rooms and to speak to reception in the morning. When I did, I was informed that our room was in fact an ‘upgrade’ despite us paying extra for a sea view, which did not fill me with much confidence. We were told that we would have to spend a second night before we could be moved to a room with a sea view, which would have older and inferior decor. As a way of an apology, we were offered 2x 30 min spa sessions and extra à la carte bookings. I wasn’t really satisfied by this, but we just wanted to get on and try enjoy the rest of our holiday as best we could. We were eventually moved after the 2 nights, but this issue definitely took the shine off the beginning of what was meant to be a relaxing family holiday. We couldn’t fully unpack until our 2nd day when we were eventually moved to the ‘new’ room with a sea view, which whilst clean, was a little outdated as was the corridor where the carpet had bleached stains all along it. Also, whilst I was at reception at different times, I overheard three other separate guests also complaining that they had not been given a room with a sea view that they had booked. This is clearly an ongoing issue with this hotel and the management team really need to improve how they manage their bookings and/or system they use. I really hope that it simply is not a ploy to take more higher priced bookings knowing that they cannot be fully accomodated. I must also mention that after the switch of rooms (where our luggage was moved for us), my wife realised that she had lost her mobile charging dock and when I asked the hotel, they said that there was no record of anyone seeing it. It had simply vanished ! The room service was also hit and miss. We found that we had a lot of sweets going missing which the cleaner must have been helping themselves to. So be careful what you leave out. Towels were usually changed, but not all surfaces were regularly cleaned. Our room had its shower in the bath which could be problematic for those less abled, but the drain in the bathroom floor also overflowed when we took showers. We found that the food choice and quality of the buffet restaurant poor compared to other similar hotels. The area where the food was served is simply too small and at busier times it was a little"
