Just off Kalimpong town, even though it is housed within a neighborhood, the serenity and view it has to offer is unparalleled. The rooms are spacious, clean and warm, the garden well curated, the balconies have a couple’s seating arrangement with spectacular view of the Sleeping Buddha. The garden is sunny and warm and has a strange happy quality about it. With adequate seating arrangements there, it is a great place to while away your time with a book, music or interesting company! The property has two blocks and the one that houses the cafeteria possibly has a better view of the ranges from their balconies. There is a play area for kids, a game room, and a café as well. The dining space too is quite large and tables a good breakfast buffet with a widespread for both veg and non veg eaters. The semi open space in front of the dining hall is even better with a fountain to look at, vines that provide a green wall and a live counter which makes lovely pizzas. Food is one department that could definitely see some improvement; mutton is not available; chicken is quite chewy, and it takes them forever to get the food ready after order is placed. Two things to keep in mind if you are visiting: The bathrooms stink in the block that houses the reception (all of them), and we were told that an improper sewage system is the culprit and they were working on it. There are adhoc discounts and offers that are available on the food menu (scan the QR code provided in the rooms) which the hotel team is mostly ignorant of. Show them the offer to avail it instead of paying extra unnecessarily. The staff are cordial and I totally loved their send off with blessings from a puja thali and a tilak to wish you a safe journey! I wish them a great journey towards more success!
