Four Points by Sheraton Kalamazoo

Really nice hotel rooms, comfortable big beds and a nice bathroom - would stay again if in Kalamazoo visiting

We chose this hotel because the pictures seemed so pretty online and it was so close to the Wings Arena. The exterior was filled with weeds and hadn't been maintained. While the front staff was very kind, the rooms were not very clean and had maybe been had some recent renovation but left large pockets between wainscoting and floor and wall. The art was perhaps purchased at an auction from 1983 and hanging unevenly on walls. Bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. Very thin walls. The king size bed had a big divet in the middle so we kept rolling in the middle. Definitely will not be returning, but the staff was very nice.

We were completely disappointed and disgusted by our stay here. We checked in and asked if we could get a shuttle ride to WMU game the following day but were told the bus doesn’t go anywhere. The hotel has asked corporate to move it but they haven’t. Carpets in common areas were filthy. We had a washcloth either from a prior guest or the cleaning crew left in our bathroom. No operable ice machines. Just a barrel with a scoop in the lobby! Towels were thread bare. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but we left after one. This is a hotel to avoid. And we paid $170 for that miserable night! Can you say grossly over-priced?

Wedding week When you walk in the front door it is clean and up to date. The breakfast area, bar and conference room very nice. Once you to down hall towards the rooms plaster falling from the ceiling, carpet dirty/stained. No ac in the hallways(strange). Key cards had to be repeatedly (3-4 times a day)fixed as they didn’t work. Did not happen to us but to my niece. Someone was already in the room they were assigned to(sleeping). Bad smelling rooms, ants and spiders. We were here for a wedding. Would never recommend or stay here again

Avoid this place First room I got was left exactly as ther previous person had left it, dirty sheets, towels and garbage. I asked for a new room and got a room with clean sheets, but the bed wasn’t made and dust everywhere. Rather than ask for a third room, I just made the bed myself. Also, the room keys demagnetized very easily and I had to ask for a new key 3 times. Only once did they check my ID. Scary that anyone could just ask for a room key. Won’t be going back.
