Ramada by Wyndham Juneau

Stay at ramada was a 4/5 with early check in and nice and supportive staff. Location was near and walkable from downtown. Every excursion pickup point is literally 5-10min walkable from hotel. Only reasons for not giving 5/5 are 1. Room Phone was not working 2. Temperature control of Shower if our room was not working though they did provide alternate room just for shower purpose I would recommend this hotel for nearness to downtown and especially friendly staff

No safe, old dirty room, no air ,no screen on window. Mattress saggy. It was so hot Bathroom floor filthy black. No water in room.

Pros: Close to everything. Clean. Good restaurant. Cons: No elevator. Overhead noise from room above.

Didn't like cost of hotel. It was an upgraded Motel 6. We were located on the fifth floor. Only ice machine on main floor and it was broken. Had to ask the front desk if you wanted ice. Had a baloney but was told not to outside as it was unsafe and it looked it. No transportation to the airport.he only way to get air is to open the siding door, but then you heard traffic all night long. You had two big fans in the closet and if you wanted heat,there was a little electrical heater. Price was expensive for getting little in return.

The room was nice and clean and close to the dock but they offer no courier service either to or from the docks of the airport. It’s pretty close to the charming downtown area and other attractions we found. The restaurant is decent even though it has no vegetarian options. We are vegan. The beds are comfortable but the room is extremely hot. There are no individual temperature controls in the rooms. The whole hotel is set to “hot”. We were on the bay side and opening the windows meant letting in traffic and pedestrian noise and the sun which went down sometime after we were in bed. The boiler quit on the day we arrived and we couldn’t shower until late the next day. Fresh from bushwhacking we were muddy and tired and needed a warm shower. I look for a clean quiet room, with nice shower and decent view. It didn’t provide that for us, except for a pleasant view. The iron had melted matter on the bottom so I was afraid to heat it up and have it transfer to my clothes. Also one of two washing machines was out of order as well as the laundry soap dispenser. Again, we were dirty and needed clean clothes. An employee I saw in the hall snagged my some soap and I paid about $5.00 to wash our clothes. The people were nice and polite both in the hotel and in the restaurant. I thought it was overpriced though, especially since we had no water and few services.

This place is great. It’s Juneau, so it’s going to be slightly rustic feeling but it’s wonderful. The front desk is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is loved by locals but you are also a short walk to downtown. The rooms are spotless and large. I saw some reviews that call them dated, they aren’t urban and modern feeling, but I thought they were lovely. I was really concerned by some of the reviews but I just thought this place was absolutely charming. It was a great place to start our Alaskan adventure.
