If you are site seeing, hiking, 4-wheeling, or just need a nice peaceful and beautiful get away, this is the place!The cottage is located on 40 acres, with National Forest on two sides. You can explore the property on site, access National forest on site, or take a short drive to many beautiful locations. The Historic Oark Cafe, the Burger Barn, Catalpa Cafe, Haw Creek Falls, The Glory Hole, the scenic Pig Trail, Byrds adventure center, Mount Magazine, Petite Jean Mountain, Mount Nebo, Mulberry River, High Bank Twin Falls, Ozark Highland Trails, Hawksbill Crag, Natural Bridge, and many other popular destinations are just a short drive away.We live on the property so anything you may need, we will do our best to accommodate.The cottage if fully stocked with anything you need to prepare meals. Bring your swimsuits, kayaks, fishing gear, walking shoes, backpacks and bicycles! There are waterfalls and hiking trails located through-out Johnson County. Non-shedding pets under 25lbs are welcome. The cabin is located approximately 4.5 miles from Clarksville city limits which has a Walmart Supercenter, various fast food restaurants and several locally owned restaurants. The entire cabin is yours and the area has plenty of things to do outdoors. The Homestead Cabin rests above the Little Mulberry Creek in the Ozarks of Arkansas. It's surrounded by the Ozark National Forest, miles of dirt road, and nature. The Homestead is a one-room cabin with a full bath and a kitchenette. We are a beautiful 1.5 hour drive from Fayetteville or Ft. Smith, a 2.5 hour drive from Little Rock or a 6 hour drive from Dallas. It's a perfect getaway for a few days. In addition to the indoor cabin amenities you will be able to enjoy the fire ring out front. Many meals and many memories have been made here. We also have a cool, clear swimming hole on the Little Mulberry that is perfect for the warm summer days.WE ARE REMOTE.Be prepared to drive down 6 miles of dirt road.NO CELL SERVICE.There is no cell service in this area. The cabin does have Wi-Fi but have the driving directions available without cell service before you arrive. They will be sent a week prior to your arrival. FOOD AND GAS.The nearest grocery store is an hour drive and the closest gas is 15 miles, locally owned, and closes early. Don't show up with no food and on an empty tank. :)WE ARE HERE.Our home is within view of the cabin. We are close enough to provide assistance if needed but far enough away to allow you privacy.We have dogs, cats, and free range chickens. Some pets may be allowed as guests. There is a $50 pet fee.
