Steigenberger Jiuzhai Valley

My family has high standards for accommodation when we travel, so after considering many hotels, we chose Steigenberger. Overall, it was a solid choice. It was incredibly convenient to get there: the direct shuttle bus from Huanglong Jiuzhai Station terminates at the Guoda Parking Lot, which is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has an impressive facade, and the rooms were comfortable. We stayed for two nights. Just a short walk to the right from the hotel entrance is Bianbian Street, which is bustling with restaurants. You can pick almost any place and have a good meal, but I particularly recommend Zangxiangge (the main branch) for their incredibly delicious and reasonably priced yak hotpot. Walking from the hotel to the scenic area entrance is quite a trek; I wouldn't advise doing it in the morning. It's at least a 20-minute walk just to get there, and you'll easily cover 20,000 steps or more once inside the park. So, unless you're exceptionally fit, save your energy. In the mornings, private cars often wait outside the hotel, offering rides to the scenic entrance for 20 yuan, which I found to be a good value. After exploring the scenic area, however, you can comfortably walk back to the hotel, enjoying various eateries and drinks along the way. The hotel breakfast was quite good – a rich and delicious spread. I particularly enjoyed the noodles and rice vermicelli. The only minor issue I'd point out is that the housekeeping staff seemed a bit inconsistent. The duvet wasn't tidied, and the toiletries weren't fully replenished; we had a shower cap on day one, but it was gone on day two, likely just an oversight. Also, some dental floss I'd dropped on the floor wasn't swept away. Finally, upon checkout, the front desk kindly gave me two string bracelets, which I plan to give to a little girl back home.

An absolutely delightful stay! I initially hadn't paid much attention to this hotel as it didn't have many reviews on Ctrip. However, while planning our trip on Xiaohongshu, I saw it highly recommended by many, which led me to book a night. The front desk staff, especially one lovely receptionist, was incredibly attentive. While we were still en route from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou, she called to inform us that, noticing we had children, they had kindly upgraded us to a family room free of charge to ensure a more enjoyable experience for the little ones. And indeed, the children were absolutely thrilled upon arrival! The room was not only clean and comfortable but also featured a play tent and toys. Moreover, upon check-in, each child received a welcome gift of snacks and fruit. This truly set a wonderful tone for our Jiuzhaigou trip!

This hotel was truly the highlight of our Jiuzhaigou trip. The setting was lovely, and it was also relatively quiet and impeccably clean. Breakfast offered a fantastic variety, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The hotel's location is also conveniently close to the scenic area. We strolled back from the park, enjoying snacks and browsing, and were at the hotel in just over 20 minutes. Absolutely worth it!

Apologies for the delayed review; I've been quite busy since our trip ended a few days ago. Steigenberger came highly recommended by a friend, and it truly impressed us. The ambiance, facilities, service, and breakfast were all superb, genuinely earning it a five-star rating. A special mention goes to the manager: we had booked quite late and only family suites without breakfast were available. But upon arrival, the manager generously offered complimentary breakfast for our whole family, which was truly sumptuous and varied. The surrounding area also had a lovely local vibe, and its proximity to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area was incredibly convenient. My only minor regret is forgetting to take photos at the hotel. Honestly, Steigenberger offered the most comfortable, pleasant, and restorative stay of our entire Jiuzhaigou trip, truly recharging us for the journey ahead. Thank you so much! We would absolutely choose to stay here again if we visit the Jiuzhaigou area in the future. ❤🌹👍

The hotel isn't too far from the Jiuzhaigou scenic area, but it's a bit of a walk. The room itself was decent, and it had a smart toilet, though the bathroom was a bit small. The front desk staff's attitude wasn't great. However, after Ctrip customer service intervened, the front desk manager resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Ctrip's customer service team was dedicated and went above and beyond, and I was very pleased with their assistance.

Linda provided absolutely outstanding and professional service!👍 Her excellent service truly made my trip so much happier. We had only booked the room and hadn't even checked in yet, but Linda proactively reached out to us on WeChat. She shared important details, sent the hotel's location, and even thoughtfully advised us to drive carefully due to the winding roads – such a warm and caring gesture!❤️ She also provided an introduction to Jiuzhaigou, a travel itinerary, a route map, and gave excellent travel suggestions. I'm incredibly grateful! The hotel food was delicious, and our room genuinely exceeded all our expectations!🌹 Services like luggage storage were very convenient, and overall, the service was truly top-notch!
