The beams and pillars are engraved with the lingering echoes of caravan bells; the bricks and tiles hold the sedimented epic of frontier trade. We have restored the courtyard with reverence, preserving the weathered texture of the original structures—the swooping eaves, dark tiles, and rammed earth walls are not merely architectural remnants, but the very breath that time has bestowed upon Shaxi.II. Realm of Design: A Symphony of Ancient and Modern· The Eastern Interpretation of Aman Aesthetics The interior spaces inherit the "philosophy of serenity" of Kerry Hill, a designer long associated with Aman. Using a warm wooden palette as the foundation and eschewing ornate carvings, the design reconstructs a modern context for the elegance of the Song and Ming dynasties through fluid curved lines, linen screens, and the art of negative space. The forms of the furniture follow the principles of nature, devoid of sharp edges, featuring only the smooth, lustrous textures of wood that dance with light and shadow, interpreting the highest ideal of "seclusion in nature, luxury in simplicity."· Avant-Garde Forms from Zaha Hadid's Legacy The courtyard is the creation of a designer formerly from Zaha Hadid Architects, engaging the millennium-old courtyard with a deconstructivist approach.
