Du'an homestay is located along a quiet alley near the Beizhaimen, and a hundred meters to the busy Sideng street that leads to the center of the Shaxi ancient town. So it is a very convenient stay for one to explore the whole Shaxi ancient town. It has a beautiful courtyard with two cats, but only see one (named Latte) most of the time. The overall environment is quiet and elegant, the surroundings are picturesque. I stayed for two nights and were served different good night drinks, warm fresh milk and sweet rice wine soup with glutinous rice balls. The room is beautifully decorated and spacious. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable so I can have a restful sleep. It has a separate shower and toilet, also a double vanity. We stayed here with our children for three days and had a blast. It's less than 100 meters from the entrance to the ancient town's Beizhai Gate. We parked in the Zhao's parking lot just east of the gate. We arranged with our customer service representative, Xiao Ming, to pick up our luggage and us with a cart. The commercial area is also a short walk, about a few hundred meters. The hotel is located at the intersection of two main pedestrian streets, making it easy to find. The nights were quiet, with little noise. The courtyard was also very nice, with a Japanese-style feel. We were provided with mosquito repellent in the room, but there weren't many bugs.
