The location of the hotel is excellent. The territory is also wonderful. Nice pool (however, the pool staff could have been more friendly). The breakfast is excellent. That's where all the good things finished.  The service is disgusting. Room cleaning was very bad. I had to remind them about everything (change the bathrobe , bring coffee). The rooms are very old, and the bath is very inconvenient . When you wash, you always fill the bathroom floor.  Upon check-in, they left a deposit in dollars - they promised to return the dollars upon check-out, but in the end they said that it is not possible and gave us shekels (recalculated at a predatory rate). It is very strange to get such service, when you pay 900 USD per night.

This was my third stay at the King David Jerusalem, and honestly, it’s been the best experience each time. The hotel has a unique vibe—it’s a true grand hotel, elegant and full of history, yet still warm and comfortable. Everything during the stay always runs smoothly. The rooms are clean and well cared for, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the lobby has that same relaxed, welcoming, and elegant feel I always enjoy. Dining is another highlight: both breakfasts and the Saturday meal were excellent—tasty food, plenty of variety, and really good service. The pool and gardens are spotless, making it easy to just relax and enjoy. And the views of IMCA and the Old City of Jerusalem are simply breathtaking. What I especially like is how the hotel keeps its history alive. The building is full of stories, and the guided tours around the property are a great way to experience it - I really enjoyed them. After coming back a few times, I can say the King David has just the right mix of history, comfort, and hospitality - and they manage to keep that feeling steady year after year. It always feels good to return, and I’m already looking forward to the next visit.

I went to Jerusalem on business & was told by all my friends it's a 5 star hotel & the best place to stay in Israel - so I was really excited. The lobby is really impressive. They have fresh flowers and I respect that they have maintained the original architecture. You can't help but notice their "Walk of Fame" with the signatures of all the luminaries who have stayed there. The view from the back deck is VERY impressive with the gardens & the pool. On the street side, you can see the iconic YMCA building, which is beautiful at night. PERSONNEL: Over all everyone is very nice but not necessarily helpful. If you need something, walk down to the front desk because they don't answer the phone. We had a problem with our shower (see below) and I wound up walking downstairs where the gentleman at the front desk asked me to call Housekeeping and they would send a note to the front desk! I was dumbfounded and noted that I was standing at the front desk, so why couldn't he just make a note?! That being said, JEREMY, the concierge is a GEM! He is the hardest worker I have seen in a long time. He is a great resource! Also ANDREW at the pool is AMAZING! He is friendly and kind. He's a good conversationalist without being intrusive. Both of those men love their jobs and it shows. IF YOU USE SHEKELS - MAKE SURE THEY ARE "NEW" ISRAELI SHEKELS!!!! We used shekels to pay in the Grill Room and we had been back in our room for about 30 sec when we got a call asking us to come down to the lobby. We were met by 2 very nice young ladies who were tasked with telling us that we had given them some "old" new shekels & the hotel doesn't accept them, so we had to either give them new ones or use our credit card. I felt sorry for them because they didn't make the policy and were very apologetic. This seemed absolutely ludicrous, since we exchanged our money IN Israel & were apparently given some "old" new money. There is no sign anywhere that defines "old" money or forbids you from using "old" money and to this day I still have no idea what "old" money is. I'm sure they make daily deposits at the bank & the bank would take the "old" money, but we were told management won't accept it. We were so angry that we chose not to eat at the hotel again & instead went to some local restaurants where we got great food AND used our "old" money. POOL: After my business trip my husband joined me, we stayed for another week & were able to get to the pool on several occasions. Just beware that there are a LOT of kids & they are allowed to just run around, so it is not going to be a quiet, relaxing trip to the pool. The men who work at the pool are very nice. BAR: The bar is gorgeous and the bartenders make some great drinks. They were all very friendly and cordial (and 1 or 2 are hilarious!) ROOMS: The levels of rooms were very confusing and I still don't understand what's what. My husband and I booked a "Deluxe New City" room, so after my business trip was over, I found out th

Outstanding Stay at a Classy and Historic King David Hotel Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The property exudes elegance and charm, with a rich sense of history that adds to its unique character. The service was top-notch – attentive, thoughtful, and always with a smile. The staff were incredibly courteous and showed a genuine commitment to hospitality. One of the most memorable parts of our stay was a historical tour of the old city, organized by the hotel. It was led by Dr. Haim Cohen, an archaeologist, whose deep knowledge and engaging storytelling made the tour both fascinating and enriching. It perfectly complemented our overall experience and added real depth to our visit. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. The pool was another highlight – clean, . refreshing, and beautifully maintained Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and meaningful stay.

Exceptional hotel. In my opinion best hotel in Israel. On line with finer hotels in Europe. Service excellent. Room with small balcony was perfect. Breakfast best in Israel. Dinner at Grill Room a must; excellent meat, live music. Location is great for walking, touring. Spent one entire day at hotel. The pool and gardens overlooking old city offer an incredibly relaxing resort experience in a hotel filled with history. One recommendation, better/brighter lighting in lobby/main sitting area.

We just returned from spending Yom Kippur and the first days of Sukkot at the King David, and the experience was truly exceptional. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and our rooms were elegant, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. The staff was consistently gracious and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. A special thank-you to Jeremy Weiss, whose warmth, professionalism, and care went above and beyond. His attention to detail and genuine concern for our comfort made a real difference. We deeply appreciated the entire experience and look forward to returning soon.
