Residence Inn Jekyll Island

The staff was all friendly except one. Nicolette at the Shores restaurant was exceptionally friendly and accommodating! She deserves a raise! The breakfast buffet was AMAZING!! Beds are comfy but the pillows are lumpy🫤 It would be nice to have a place to put recycles- I picked up many plastic bottles on the beach. Will definitely come back to stay here!

The overall experience was very nice. Our receptionist Dan was very knowledgable and got us checked in quickly and provided all the best tips of the island. The rooms are nice but had a few quirks that come with any beachside hotel (so no issues). I like residence inn rooms because they come with a kitchen and are very spacious. The pool was large and nice. The beach access was quick and not crowded. I liked the provided amenities such as the $15 food and drink credit, the very delicious breakfast, the gym, games, abundance of both indoor and outdoor seating areas, and bikes. Definitely recommend staying here.

We've been here going on 4 days now and they have a lot of things they offer like bikes, games, pool, toys for the beach etc. However, the services is slow, they refuse to bring you new sets of towels, we've asked two different times since being here for fresh towels and we've had to physically go downstairs for them because they "don't have anyone available to bring them up". But when we go down there, there's several employees just sitting or walking around. The room smelled musty when we arrived and their solution was a candle. Water pressure isn't the best. Hotel is a little dirty, in the main hallway leading to the elevator and in the elevator there's spillage and what looks like blood on the floors and on the walls in the elevator. It looks like blood some of it too and we were shocked it hadn't been cleaned. Plenty of entrances and exits in case of a fire. Parking isn't bad get's really full at night but the entrances on all sides of the building help. Overall, we're satisfied with our stay. However, they could use some serious improvements for the cost/location. We've been to cheap hotels that came with better food, customer service, and things with the room. The rooms are equipped I will say that, and spacious. Dishes, Stove, Fridge, Dishwasher etc.

Check your room type..... We booked an ocean view, I called to confirm it was ocean view. When we arrived and got to our room it WAS NOT. The balcony upgraded room I asked for (rm 211) looked at the roof, when you sat in the chairs provided you couldn't see the ocean either. You had to stand on the chair and lean over railing at an angle to see the water. I immediately went back downstairs and asked for another room. We spent 4 nights here, the first night in the awful room. They moved us the next day, to room 411, but not until after we spent our afternoon waiting for the room to get ready instead of sight seeing. The staff was helpful, female bartender and chair and umbrella guy at beach were very knowledgeable. It was a really stressful way to start vacation.

I had a reservation for a beach view room with a balcony, but they had over reserved and recieved a parking lot view room

We checked in on a Saturday for 5 nights with our 3 granddaughters. I was worried at first because it was VERY crowded. The next day a lot of guests checked out. The rest of our stay was quite nice. Nice pool and beach area. Beautiful view from our room.
