Property Description
Our house and cabin property are located on a small farm with a private gated driveway. We have one rental cabin located in the woods and privacy is our forte. Nestled about 3 minutes behind our main house, the cabin is only accessible by golf cart, which is provided. We DO NOT ALLOW any vehicles in the cabin area. The cabin is located in an area that is part of our cattle farm and home for a lot of wildlife; turkey, bear, coyotes and other native critters passing through.
We have an above ground swimming pool located at our main house. We offer it for guests use the beginning of June through the end of August.
We are 20 minutes from Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. We go to Pigeon Forge and even Gatlinburg for a day/evening out. The drive going on Hwy 411 from our place to Sevierville is very picturesque with mountain/valley views. We are 8 minutes from Douglas Lake boat launch and 5 minutes from boat/jet ski rentals for Douglas Lake.
Our cabin is a very primitive style tiny cabin with modern amenities. It is a small 2 story with living area and full kitchen downstairs and bed/bath loft area upstairs. It has 1 full size bed and will accommodate 2 people. The upstairs loft is an open area with the bed on one end and full bath on the other end, with low ceilings. The bed is an antique high-side bed. You will need to be able to climb stairs to the bed/bath loft area. It has both front and back porches to enjoy the privacy and quiet time in the woods. It has a fire pit in the back which uses wood (we provide the cut wood) and a place to cook over the fire. We also have a grill if you prefer to cook on a grill.
Bed linens, bath towels/wash cloths/kitchen towels, toilet tissue, and kitchen paper towels are provided. Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware and glassware, just bring your food. Basic coffee supplies/coffee pods and a Keurig coffee maker are provided. We also have a small bread toaster.
We cannot allow more than 2 guests at a time due to the small size of our cabin. When you arrive, you will find that we want you to feel at home on our farm. We love our private property and are looking forward to sharing it with you!About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.Only outside.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 25.About events:No events allowed.

We were warmly greeted by Donna when we arrived late at night, and she was very accommodating and friendly, which made check-in smooth. The cabin itself is exactly as pictured—quaint, cozy, and nicely secluded. That said, there are a few things future guests should be aware of. Being in a wooded area down a trail behind the main house, the cabin naturally attracts bugs, but unfortunately the upstairs bedroom and bathroom were infested with gnats and mosquitoes, which made it uncomfortable. The upstairs ceilings were also quite low; at 5’6” and 6’0”, we found ourselves crouching in most areas except in the shower. One experience that stood out in a less positive way was an interaction with Bob. While making a quick late-night run back to the gas station for necessities, we found him waiting in the driveway with folded arms and a stern demeanor. He scolded us for going back and forth and questioned us about where we were going. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially since we weren’t informed of any curfew beforehand. We also felt the golf cart provided was extremely loud and in need of maintenance, which contributed to the disturbance. If late-night comings and goings are a concern, it would be helpful for that to be clearly communicated before booking.Overall, the cabin is fairly priced for its location and offers a cozy, private atmosphere that many couples would enjoy. However, based on our experience, I would personally not stay again.

Beautiful primitive cabin!
There's not enough stars here for this place. It needs about a hundred. Miss Donna and Mr. Bill are awesome to talk to and deal with. Extremely helpful, and they have such a beautiful farm property. The cabin isn't far from "civilization", but it sure feels like it is, and it's great! I can't wait to come back here again. This is a working farm with cows and horses and such. It's really awesome to interact with the animals as well. Thanks for a great stay!!

This cabin is magical! It is nestled quietly in the trees with no noise other than nature. The photos don't do it justice. It is even more amazing in person! I have not slept so soundly in a long time. The last night I fell asleep to the rain on the tin roof, which was an added bonus. Donna & Bill are incredible! Hospitality and community are definitely their gifts. Their light shines so brightly. I cannot thank them enough for my Psalm 46:10 time on their property. If my hectic schedule allows, I would love to return.

Best Vacation Ever
This cabin is the sweetest little cabin anywhere. We had a great time at the cabin, floating in Donna and Bill's pool, riding the golf cart up and down and talking to the peacocks, turkeys, horses and donkeys. Donna and Bill are wonderful hosts and we will definitely be back!

Cabin in the woods
Donna and Bill are the best! The property is perfect for a couple that need a bit of privacy. The cabin is clean and cozy. If you love nature then this place is for you! My husband and I will be back many more times!

Winter trip
It was nice cabin. Very secluded and quiet. It was a little smaller than it looked in the pictures but loved it. If you are taller then 6 ft you will have to duck when you are upstairs. But we did like it and had a great time. We will come back soon.

Incredible Stay!
This is our second time here and the property owner makes this stay even better. This cabin is an amazing getaway deep in the woods with lots of charm. Time slows down here - if you are lucky enough to have ever experienced this feeling, you know what im talking about. We will always be returning as this place holds a special place in our heart.
