We stayed in Jan 2025 with the StarPrestige package. The room was just an average room. The ocean biew was nice, but the sun was very intense on the balcony for the first half of the day so it was hard to enjoy for too long. This resort has just one restaurant- the buffet. There is a limited menu of food at the bowling bar, but we found the food options very limited. At the Iberostar where we stay in Mexico, there are 5 restaurants to choose from, so having just the buffet for dinner was pretty disappointing. I’m confused about the reviews that rave about the food here. It’s lackluster at best. The place is clean - housekeeping did a great job and includes turndown service, which was nice. The StarPrestige pool area was quiet - almost too quiet. We didn’t hang out there much as we found it a bit boring. So if you’re into that, you’ll find it perfect. We used the bowling alley a couple of times. The bowling bar is an adorable little gem to bust the boredom of the resort as a whole with air hockey and billiards - even though the games cost money to play even with the Prestige package. We found it odd that there is only one bathroom in the entire resort? If there was more than 1, we couldn’t find it. If we had to go, we walked all the way to our room. Even the StarPrestige private lounge didn’t have toilets. Everyone was friendly enough, but when compared to other Iberostars we’ve stayed at, we were disappointed as a whole.

We were there with our 3 children from Hungary. We loved the hotel , the food was amazing, the design but what made the hotel is the people who work there. The animators was so kind, they do there job in a perfect way with passion, joy and hapiness! Isabella, Kati, Nilo, Tanya, 2 Davids,Leo and the others thank you again! The show what they made, the Atlantis was so fun, they are really good dancers and I have to mention the beach yoga and pilates and the salsa class as well which was the best! The waitresses and waiters were so kind too, I so every they when a disabled people come, they helpd them kindly and they were so nice with everyone too. Only one thing I can mention what you have to change… the pool water should be hotter a little bit. We enjoyed our holiday and we will come back!

Las habitaciones son espaciosas y las camas muy cómodas. Está todo muy limpio y el bufet es espectacular. Hay acceso directo a la maravillosa playa de Jandía y tienes varias piscinas con hamacas muy cómodas. El personal es muy amable y está pendiente de los clientes y de sus necesidades

Bit disappointed on arrival. Booked Star prestige with full sea view. Shown to room overlooking children’s play area and only partial sea view with no sun beds as promised on balcony. Room itself was recently upgraded to top quality. Returned to reception but advised this was the last room available. Offered an upgrade to a suite the following day at an extra cost. We decided to accept this as we were celebrating our anniversary. The suite was a superb room with a beautiful view and sun beds on balcony. Loved the star prestige pool and bar area. Enjoyed walking along the promenade passed the nature reserve to Morre Jable which was a forty minute walk to old town with shops and bars along the way. Stunning beach all the way to Morre Jable. Hotel food was excellent, the best hotel food we have had, different theme each night. Premium drinks all included and we enjoyed the best caipirinha outside of Rio. Despite giving our anniversary date, nothing was done. Indeed at dinner that night all tables were cleared around us for the staff Xmas party. We were very disappointed having celebrated anniversaries at other Iberostar hotels. On raising this with a senior manager they were extremely apologetic and sent a bottle of champagne and chocolates to our room. The following day our room was decorated with hearts, towel animal and wine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again. .

Excellent location, great staff. This time we had a Star Prestige room - an excellent choice. Access to a separate zone with an infinitive pool, peace, comfort and relaxation. Food very good, great selection. Beds comfortable. It would just be necessary to renovate the rooms, for example replacing the bathtub with a shower.

I will write my honest opinion about our family trip to Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas (Fuerteventura). The staff, food, environment, rooms were good, thefts made our trip bitter. It was very unpleasant, we had a wallet with 250Eur cash in the room. That wallet was unmovable, untouched, we kept it in a child's bag. Every day our room was cleaned as requested, and it was done wonderfully. However, the money was gone, and we had no evidence to file a complaint. So be careful. :(((
