Zostel Jaisalmer

I stayed at zostel jaisalmer for 2 nights and had a pleasant experience. The hostel is located jaisalmer fort, making it easy to explore the city. The dorm were clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable. The highlight of this hostel is the friendly and helpful staff. They provided great tips on where to go and even organized social activities, which made it easy to meet other travelers. The common areas are spacious, with a great vibe, perfect for chilling out or working if needed. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The bathrooms could be cleaned more often, and sometimes the wi-fi was a bit spotty, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the kitchen, while functional, could use more utensils. Overall, [hostel name] offers good value for money, especially for solo travelers or groups looking for an affordable, social accommodation option. I would definitely recommend it for budget travelers looking to make new friends and explore the city.

The zostel property is inside the jaisalmer fort and is at walking distance from all the main attractions. To reach the hostel one has to walk from the main chowk. The property is well maintained and has a very good restaurant and a great view from the top.

I chose this property to stay on 12-13 October 2024, based on great reviews, but it turned out to be a total disappointment. The best feature is the stunning view of the city from within the fort of Jaisalmer. However, apart from that, the property and services are highly overrated. Despite the staff encouraging me to leave a positive review, I felt it was important to provide an honest account for future travelers. The rooms and social spaces are cramped, and the food is average at best. I opted for their airport pickup and drop-off, which turned into a nightmare. They charged Rs. 850 for pickup and Rs. 800 for drop-off, but the price seemed arbitrary. The vehicle was a non-AC Tavera that broke down, and the driver lost his way twice. It felt like a scam, especially since they took the payment upfront, leaving me no time to seek alternatives. For the desert safari, I chose their recommended option at Rs. 2500 per person, advertised as being on private property of Zostel owners. We were picked up in a non-AC van and had to stop for a 30-minute camel ride to reach the campsite. The food served there was unhygienic, and the bedding was too. The only highlight was the open starry sky at night. The plates and utensils were also unsanitary, and there was no entertainment or activities, like music or dune bashing, as promised. Additionally, the staff expected tips at the end of the safari, which felt inappropriate given the experience. Overall, this is not the best Zostel I’ve stayed at. I’m disappointed that my trust in the reviews for Zostel Jaisalmer led to such a poor experience.

Location and ambiance is quite good an dad hospitality is impressive must visit once and the balxcony location is too good

Amazing stuff! the staff was kind and cooperative and not to mention the amazing views. Also, the food was great around the fort.

We longed for a stay within jaisalmer fort, that was fulfilled. The rooms were small but well cleaned with all the facilities

Average stay, no amenities like geyser, intercom, water bottle, and not suitable for couple because of dormetrey stay in property

Zostel jaisalmer was inside the fort however the rooms are very cramped, dusty with absolutely a feel of some servant quarters. No space to walk. Food was ok but service was terrible.

Great view of fort. Staff is cooperative. Proper fort stay. Nothing to complain. Could be more clean.
