Casajungla Hostel

This place is lovely and charming. The owners are artists, and each room is unique. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The outdoor kitchen is also beautiful and has wooden swings to sit in hanging on one side of the table. The beach is in walking distance, as well as tons of restaurants and nightlife. There's hiking and other outdoor adventures nearby.

They were expecting us and welcomed us warmly. The place is small but cozy and the rooms are comfortable. Everything was clean including bathrooms and showers. They have bikes that we used free of charge to ride into town (10 min ride) they have an out door kitchen and dining area. This is super handy because the grocery store is close, you can cook your own meals! The breakfast options are also fabulous! I had a banana pancake and wow!! Just wow! That was $4 and worth it. The smoothies were also great $3 enough for 2. They also have a wall that has bus schedules to get to a bunch of great places. We took the bus to Manuel Antonio which saved us about $100 for a tour. It's a bit rustic but clean, shared bathrooms, but really how much time do you plan on being in your room or the hotel/hostel in general. Loved it I'd definitely come back!

I took to bus from Palmar Norte to Jaco and got dropped off a little bit outside Jaco. A local bus came and drove around Jaco beach. So i jumped off on the main road at Jaco beach and had to walk nearly 20min south to find the hostel. Afterwards I ve realised that i just would have to get off 2-3 bus stations before and were just in front of the hostel. As I arrived I got a really nice room and the owner explaint to me where i could find everything that's needed. The Hostel has a few rooms and 3 really nicely shared bathrooms. Also with hot water. If you are staying there you should definetly try the pancake for breakfast. They are extremly delicous. Just 5min away you ll find the wide and quiet beach. 15min Walking and you are in town. There are lots of shops, Bars and restaurants. The hostel itself is very kept clean. Because it's a little bit outside it's quiet calm. But that's what i was looking for. Nearby you ll find a small Restaurant with good Food and small prices. I would definatly stay again there. 😀

I stay there twice. They are super welcoming, helpful for the rest of my trip. They kept my bag for two months, and when I came back they were so happy to see me, and prepared my room quickly. The place is very clean, it's a great hostel, very charming and peacefull in the middle of a little jungle! Closed to the center, and without the noise. There is coffee all day long and a kitchen. And the mattress are so comfortable.. I discover it after few months of travel in backpacker hostel! Thereare bikes, available for customers, and it is the perfect way to go in the center town. If I come back to Jaco, I definitly go there again. Thanks, always recalling you!!

Very relaxed and comfortable hostel. Short walk to the beach. Great tipica breakfast. Friendly hosts with bike and surfboard rental. Be sure to take the short hike to mira monte.

Arrived in the pouring rain, didn't see the bell on the door to call reception so make sure you ring it! Was showed to my room which was decorated very nicely. The bathroom was nice and clean, the shower had hot water, and was overall very nice. Curtains were a bit see through so had to be careful with changing because people can occasionally walk past. The communal areas were nice, especially the kitchen, I met a lot of nice people there, and the garden is also very pretty. The included breakfast served is really tasty so make sure to get up for it, and the dogs are very cute. Only thing is it's not very near to the shops and restaurants so it's a bit of a walk into town, but very close to the beach and there's a little bar nearby as well. Overall really nice experience.
