Best Western Jaco Beach All Inclusive Resort

Misleading, when doing my search I input 2 guest but upon arrival I found that my price was for only 1 guest and had to pay double for a mediocre hotel.

Hotel very nicely decorated and organized. Every employee we encountered from the front desk that checked us in to the bartenders and maid service were very courteous and helpful. Special shout out to Francisco and Eddy at the pool bar who made sure our drinks keep flowing. The food was tasty and in line with a cruise ship buffet. The grounds were clean and kept up. Overall we were happy with our stay. As others mentioned the music was a little loud at night and the beds were stiff.

This resort is pretty rough. There was a lot of garbage in and around the pools. It appeared to be balloons that had popped all over the place. There is also dirty dishes everywhere. The rooms are not very nice. Ours had dirty floors and it is very dated. Despite that, the beach is beautiful and the water super warm. Notably, the pools are so so warm, to the point that we were struggling to find a way to cool down. It felt like 42 degrees outside, the pools were easily 90 or more and the ocean felt like high 80s, maybe more.

If you want to make your friends back home jealous with killer views and do it on a BUDGET, Best Western Jaco is the perfect place! The grounds are immaculate- palms and that postcard perfect beachfront setup. Let's talk about some MVPs here: Aaron, Bryan, and Francisco at the bars. Quick, friendly, and mixology specialists who have a very heavy hand if you ask nicely. That said, I do wish the drink menu had a bit more flair. Espresso martini, anyone? The service overall was fantastic especially in the food & beverage areas. One nice perk of this property was the live music at night, several nights of our trip were done by local performers. A nice, authentic touch! The rooms? they suck. DATED. Beds are rock-hard, walls are thin- you can easily hear loud music all day and until about 12 am. You're NOT coming here for luxury or a plush sleep- you're here for the beach and a strong drink to forget the bed. The food was very hit or miss. Some days we were vibing with the fried yucca, plantos maduros (scrumptious), juices and fruits, and chilled wine. Other days it felt like they couldn't get enough chicken, bland and so overused. The snack bar gave off "school lunch line" vibes- perfect for kids but you'd have to be very intoxicated to eat there. If you're American and emotionally attached to bacon or conditioner for your hair- pack your own. Both of which would improve the experience. Pro tip: the beach-facing pool at the far end of the resort is the ultimate chill zone later in the day. Less noise, great breeze, and ideal for pretending you're a travel influencer. Overall, this is a fantastic budget resort but you must remember, you DON'T get what you DON'T pay for. Want luxury meals? go to a JW Marriott. We are so happy we chose this hotel for our vacation. Having all-inclusive makes everything else so much easier to do like day tours, beach time, pool time etc. The only thing we marked 4 stars instead of 4 is related to how the housekeeping doesn’t refresh towels and how you have to go to the front desk to request them and other items like bottled water (only two regular sized bottles at a time) soap. Despite this minor issue we were so happy with our stay here and hope to return!
