Loved this resort! The hotel was clean, bright and well maintained. The food was tasty and all restaurants were accommodating to my daughter (9) who has celiac disease (gluten allergy). There were even enough options for my son (13) who is less than adventurous at meal time. Service was great on all levels, and had so much fun with the entertainment group who was out doing daily activities at the pool area and beach, such as zumba, aerobics, volleyball and water polo. Special shout out to Nai & Angel of the entertainment group who are super fun and engaging! I'd totally recommend this resort.

Ignacio was great! He really livened up our dinners and made us some flaming bananas foster. Made this entire trip worth it. As far as the hotel, the themed nights were the best I've experienced in the hotel area. Food was great and offered VEGAN options!!! I was so excited about that. Kitchen managers came by to check on us a couple of times throughout our stay so that was a nice touch. We appreciated the attention on top of everything that was already so great and detailed. I'd come here again!

Absolutely love it here. Great hotel, great, friendly staff, clean rooms and marvelous food. The only detractor may be the air conditioning was a bit sub par in our room. It struggled to keep up with heat and humidity.

The ocean view, the instalation, the pacific and the service made our trip a really special one. The food and amenities are really nice. Highly recommended as destination in Mexico. I'm mexican and I can really recommend the hotel and the location. Ixtapa/Zihua is an awsome place to chill and rest.

Just ate at the Bluewater Grill and the service was outstanding. Specifically, Christian, Patricia (Paty), and Javier went above and beyond during our dining experience and even helped us celebrate our anniversary. Next time you are here, make sure to ask for Christian and order the flaming coffee! He put on quite a show and it was delicious as well. High recommend!

The location of the resort is awesome however that is the only thing this resort has going for it. The resort itself needs to be be updated and cleaned. The pool was usually dirty and a lot of the common areas were dirty as well. With stained cushions ect. The food definitely lacked luster or variety. The food options were really low quality. They advertise an adults only restaurant but each time we went there were kids. The buffet was very limited. I have never seen that few choices in a buffet in all my travels. We booked the Sun Club Oceanview Deluxe Room and that was a joke. It was a partial Oceanview at best over looking the kids splash zone. The beds are small. 2 doubles so if you are bigger or taller this could pose a big issue. Besides the lounge with premium drinks there was nothing worth the upgrade. We actually paid to upgrade again just to have a decent room with a decent view. We couldn’t have stayed for a week crammed into the original room we were given. They wouldn’t accommodate a change unless we paid. As for amenities at this resort I really can’t comment. The pool area was not very clean. The chairs were limited. We even ran into times where we couldn’t get a towel. Ixtapa is beautiful and I cannot wait to rerun. We have been here 4 times already. We just won’t ever go back to the Sunscape.
