The ryokan is set in a beautiful valley with many rice fields along the way. The onsens, both indoor and outdoor are both excellent and would not hesitate to recommend.
Location only accessible if with car as its quite far in the mountains but the environment is very serene. Food served was also of good quality.

This secret hot spring really exceeded our expectations. We must come here when it snows in winter. The hotel staff was very responsible and even helped me find my lost items.
The hotel has a shuttle bus service. You can make a reservation by phone to pick up and drop off at Itoigawa. Very convenient.
