Very nice place to stay in Istanbul for a fair price. The staff is very kind and professional. Good variety in the breakfast and comfortable room.
It was our second time in the city and also our second time in the hotel.

It was a very bad experience ever, rooms were not ventilated, bad services at all from all the stuff. Service in the room is so bad specially the heating system which you can feel you are in sauna and you cannot even sleep and team saying you can leave the hotel if you are not comfortable!!! Not even try to solve any problem also like the TV channels were not working as no signal also. The breakfast was very poor and most of the things were not included in the breakfast buffet. Treatment from the staff generally was so bad and it will not be recommended for anyone even if it’s one of cheapest options to stay but maybe now i know why it’s cheaper than others!!

The staff was very nice and accommodating, apart from that the location of the hotel is ideal, since you can go anywhere with public transport, such as ferries, S-Bahn and U-Bahn.

The economy room has no windows! I originally booked for five nights. Due to a wrong itinerary, I communicated with the hotel to stay on the third night. The first two nights were canceled, and the hotel refused to agree, so forget it. After checking in, I found that the room had no windows. As soon as I opened the door, an unspeakable smell of foot odor and other mixed smells rushed into my nose. I tossed and turned all night and realized for the first time how important fresh air is to people. I finally stayed until the next day First thing in the morning, I went to communicate with the front desk to change the room. I charged me the money for the first two nights for nothing. The front desk still refused to change our room, and we must add more money. This is considered very impersonal in China, and they can do it. To put it bluntly, people’s rules are rules, but to put it bluntly, they just want to make more money, and they don’t plan to make money from repeat customers. Very bad feeling, the hardware is also very average, the toilet is dim, and I will never recommend anyone to stay.

The cleanliness of the room was nice, the location is already nice. But the room had no windows, so we literally suffocated.

I stayed here as part of a tour group. The first room they gave me had an opaque window up against a white wall. No natural light or fresh air in the room. Felt like a prison cell…! I complained to our tour leader and I was moved to another room. The second room was filthy, the carpets were so dirty, the shower was dirty and the grouting needs to be replaced. The rooms are dark, brown and quite depressing. The noise from the neighbouring rooms is unbelievable- you can hear conversations amongst the people in the next room, the same as if they were in your room. Even the lampshades are broken. There are Tea/coffee making facilities in the room There is a safe in the room - however having read reviews on trip advisor- it’s best not to use the safe because of theft, so I ended up taking my valuables out with me. The shower area is big, with really cheap shower gel / shampoo in the shower, no conditioner. Breakfast- went up to the restaurant a few mins before the breakfast was due to open. The staff wouldn’t let me enter the restaurant so I had to stand in the small dark corridor where the lifts are situated- no lights in this corridor. There was a good selection of cold and hot food for breakfast. The waiting staff were quite surly and there was paper cups for the tea/coffee - clearly they don’t have enough regular cups for everyone. What hotel has paper cups in the restaurant instead of regular cups. I wanted to leave some luggage here and collect it on our final night here at the end of the your. But decided against it because they charge 5 euros per day to store it. I have travelled extensively and I have never come across anything like this before. Avoid this hotel if you possibly can.

The hotel is well-situated, but very tired. As others have said: sewer smell, needs renovated, hard-as-rock mattresses, and thin walls. I could hear everything my neighbors were doing. I was on a tour so couldn’t pick my hotel, but for what I paid, I’d expect a better accommodation.

not again. It was 'comfortable' to a point, but the beds were rock hard, lots of mould in the bathroom, carpets were filthy and stained. But breakfast was adequate. Nice sitting area downstairs. Air con was good. We stayed because it was the first and last night of an Intrepid tour. Probably wouldn't go again if I had a choice. Staff were lovely though, and brought up 2 extra pillows when requested. Turkish people were all very friendly and hospitable/welcoming.

We stayed here at the start and end of an Intrepid tour as this was their chosen hotel. This hotel is in serious need of an update. The carpet in the room looks like it has come out of a mechanic workshop. We were lucky and very thankful that we were able to be moved for some of our stay to a room without carpet which was a vast improvement although it also needed maintenance. Shower door extremely difficult to open/close. Air Con didn't work. Staff were friendly. Overheard other customers also complaining to reception staff about standard of rooms. Whilst it is in a handy location, we would not stay again.

Located on a narrow street, dimly lit, hard to get to by taxi. You have to get out and drag your bags 100 m on cobblestone downhill. The lobby is small and plain, the elevators are awkward to get to. I arrived at night and the hallways were so dim I couldn’t see where my room was or where to put the key. The room is small, the floor is dirty carpet, the bed is minimalistic and hard. The shower was molding and cracked. It took 25 minutes for me to get hot water(not an exaggeration) including 2 calls to reception. There is a mosque close to the hotel that plays calls to prayer at 11pm and then again at 4 am so if your room is street-side be prepared.
