Lovely resort stay with beautiful landscapes and gorgeous golf view with beach nearby. Enjoyed the calm and peaceful nature. Would love to stay there longer for my next visit. Delicious breakfast spread (made to order with various choices).

Visited for the day to play the golf course, and what a course it is. Amazing setting, great design and excellent condition. Played on a sunny day with just enough wind to keep it interesting. Warm welcome at reception, and especially in the pro shop. Lots of chat about the course, the facilities and a suggestion for a stop on the way back to the ferry. One quibble. We went in for breakfast and the manager (?) said to the waitress, lodly and rather disparagingly, "couple of walk- ins!!" Actually, no, two visiting golfers, who would appreciate breakfast after an early start! Not very polite. Additionally, as you have a fixed price for breakfast, why not say so? Otherwise, just a bagel and coffee is rather expensive! Although it was jolly nice. Lovely surroundings, restaurant experience wasn't very welcoming, but overall, pleased we'd made the journey.

This is a fabulous property….beautiful golf course, excellent restaurant with exceptional service, lovely rooms. A few hiccups with the service outside the restaurant. Nothing worth calling out….just understand that despite the price it is generally a four star, not a five star, property. Definitely hoping to return someday!

The Macherie is one of the most beautiful hotels experience we’ve ever had mostly due to its unbelievable beautiful location. Yes the hotel is quite nice , the rooms are cozy and nicely appointed. The restaurant is top notch but nothing comes close to the spectacular setting it’s located on . The Hotels finest achievement IMO is the “Stagg Lounge” one the greatest spaces you can spend time in , having a cocktail, afternoon tea or simply staring endlessly out the massive window onto the beautiful golf course and surrounding countryside and beaches .

Rooms very clean, comfortable beds. Food choice and being forced to have 2 courses when not all of your group wanted this was a shame. 6 chips as a main course with no vegetables or salad or garnish was poor for a main course. Check in was poor, gave us a key and we had to ask her to point us in the direction where our room was ans ask where dinner and breakfast was. This hotel has a lot to offer but simply wasn't shown to us.

this place was beautiful I would defiantly recommend.. but there was just something missing, mabye the service and the people skills , and the food was mediocre at best. send steak back inedible and they dont care. and lady at breakfast was awful also. so I would def recommend but dont go for the food or the personality go for the golf.
