Hotel Sierra Negra ★★★
Hostal Insular ★★
"I went and the front desk was so nice to everybody and I love the location it a small walk to the beach but I love that we need exercise.i walked out side and I needed help with were I wanted to go and they helped me and they even go a shuttle if it was far away and I loved how the roomed were so clean it felt like I was the queen of the world I am definitely coming back!"
Hotel la Laguna Galapagos ★★★
"The room can see a very beautiful lake view, the location is also very good, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The host recommended a lot of places worth visiting, and also arranged a pick-up and drop-off service. Five-star praise"
Hotel Volcano ★★★
"This hotel was arranged by our travel agency. The manager and the front desk staff were very accommodating and gave us an upgrade to a sea view room. They scheduled breakfasts around our planned excursions. This is our best Galapagos hotel so far and this is our third island"
Gran Hostal Tintorera ★★★
"Nice room and very friendly staff. Recommended"
Cormorant Beach House ★★★
"The door is the beach and the sea, the location is quite good, sleeping with the waves at night, very good."
Galápagos Isabela Hotel Loja ★★★
"My sister & I stayed here for 4 nights. We had a twin room on the 2nd level with a balcony. The room & bathroom were very big, nice, and clean. Breakfast was great. Pool was great. Location was great. Best of all was Diego. He was so helpful. Answered all our questions. Booked our ferry & tour. Super friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here."
Casita de la Playa ★★★
"While the location on the beach is amazing the staff is not overly friendly more welcoming. The room was large and clean. The breakfast area is an open rooftop sect which could be incredible but it is very windy and cool in the mornings with misty rain most mornings. Breakfast was great with customized omelette and fresh squeezed juice. On the weekend when only 2rooms were occupied the staff made it very clear that they didn’t want us to linger at breakfast. They had all the plastic barriers open so the cold wind could blow through along with the misty rain. Most tables were wet only as basic breakfast was offered as they didn’t want to be there. They charged $6/kg for laundry when you can get this in town for $1/kg. They didn’t want us lingering around the hotel on checkout day, again the weekend with few rooms occupied. We waited outside for hours as we waited for our 2 pm flight from Isabela to San Cristobal island. Close to restaurants and right on the ocean but the staff doesn’t really want you there, we were an inconvenience during most of our stay. The only hotel in our 3 week vacation that didn’t attempt to do anything to help make the stay special…they were just there and offered basic customer services. Many other hotel options for us to explore next time we visit."
Hostal Brisas Del Mar ★★★
"Towel exchange every day. Hot coffee free service all day"

Hotel Albemarle
"Absolutely beautiful hotel right on the beach in the heart of everything. The staff was outstanding, and as non-Spanish speakers we were able to communicate clearly. The woman working reception was beyond wonderful and helpful when we arrived - she walked us through all of the Dos and Don'ts of the area, and provided all necessary information for our stay upfront. (In contrast, we had to really dig deep for information throughout our Galapagos trip) Filtered water and coffee is plentiful in the main areas; pool is clean, perfect temp, and well-maintained with waterfall and greenery; room was spotless and very well lit and cooled with both AC and a large ceiling fan option. The bathroom had all toiletries we could've needed - a hair dryer may have been a nice addition! - with towels and robes. Laundry service was available but we did not need it for just three nights. Breakfast buffet was a great spread - about $13 USD per person - and the location is prime for good eating and local tours and shops. The surrounding beach is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon - Isabela felt small, but there was much to see and do. Don't forget to check the rooftop terrace at sunset, and drop off wet clothes on the drying racks! 10/10 stay - our favorite in Galapagos."
The Wooden House Hotel
"Oh my god. I ordered the fish and it was not cooked and smelled and tasted rancid. When I told them they said sorry do I WANT TO BUY something else. No Way. Stay away stay away. Hope I do not get sick. Also was suppose to have meal when we got there and we had to wait 50 minutes. Beware would give a negative number if offered"
Iguana Crossing Boutique Hotel
"We loved the three nights that we spent at Iguana Crossing! This is an absolute gem tucked at the end of a beautiful beach at the end of the main road in Puerto Villamil, and we really enjoyed watching the iguanas cross to and from the beach every morning and evening. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to room 8, a junior suite with a gorgeous ocean view, and found it to be spotless, comfortable, and everything that we could have hoped for. Yes, the situation with the pushbutton shower is different, but this is a tropical island that's isolated and has limited resources and it's a minor inconvenience. We had one dinner in the restaurant, and it was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful and fresh every day. We also had laundry done while we were there and it was more than reasonable at $25 for a large load of clothes. This is the nicest hotel on the island, and we would definitely stay here again!"
Isamar Hotel
"An 8 min walk from the port. Beach front location was perfect. Unfortunatly the aircon dining was not working and it was very humid, the staff offered a transfer to their sister hotel the Albermal a couple of minutes away. It looked great and the staff were great, though we didn’t experience the hotel. But the fact they offered an alternative was high up there for me. The albermal was lovely and all beach front with a pool"
Hostal Las Gardenias
"This is a fantastic, budget-friendly place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning, hot water and internet all worked great. The kitchen was clean and well equipped for guests to use. It’s 2 blocks from the Central town square and 4 blocks from the beach. Manuel, his wife and his sons live on site and are always available and happy to help in any way they can. If you’re not looking for an expensive, beach front luxury accommodation, this is a perfect place to stay in Villamil."
Hospedaje Delfin Azul
"I had a good time. I think you should definitely go when you go to Isabella Island. Breakfast is also available and you can spend a good deal."
Hotel la Gran Tortuga
"Dirty room: blood from squashed mosquitoes at the head of the bed, old socks from the previous occupants on the shelf. I cleaned it myself. Towels were faded and full of holes. No drinking water in the rooms with glasses, even though you shouldn't use tap water for brushing your teeth. No hooks or hanging space for clothes, and no wardrobe. The remote control for the air conditioning is in the breakfast room for all rooms. The windows aren't locked, and anyone can get in. No safe in the room. The nice tablecloths shown in the advertisements aren't there either. Mosquitoes in the room, and no mosquito net or hook in the ceiling for bringing your own. Conclusion: I know these kinds of dives from my backpacking days. But those only cost a fraction of what this "hotel" costs. Unfortunately, we had no choice. The tour operator Djoser booked us here."
Hotel San Vicente Galapagos
"First room we received had a rotten apple in the wardrobe with ants and bugs on it. The sheets were stained as were the towels. Our second bedroom wasn’t much better. Stains on sheets and pillow covers. Bathrooms don’t have hot water for washing your face. I wore sandals in the shower. The jacuzzi was not operational. Breakfast was fine but not expansive. Would not recommend. We came with a tour and had this not been where the tour was staying we would’ve left immediately."
La Casa de Marita
"So glad I chose this hotel. It was a definite slice of paradise. I had a room overlooking the beach, which was just gorgeous. My room also had a balcony with two chairs and a hammock. The staff was very lovely and friendly. The location is very easy for walking just a few minutes down the road to restaurants+shops. I did have dinner at the on-site restaurant one night and I thought the food was mediocre, but as everyone says the Mojito is excellent. Breakfast buffet was good albeit simple. Overall would definitely choose this hotel if I were to return to Isabela."
Mi Playa Galapagos Beachfront
"Book early and stay longer! This is a real keeper on Isabela. Two bedrooms with room for four, and a fifth downstairs if needed. But best of all - and that is saying something because the flats are directly on the beach - is the lovely breakfast prepared in the flat every morning. There is much to choose from, and typically too much food, but you can’t start your day any better. Huge thanks to Steven from the Hotel Isamar property for helping us and generally taking care of us so attentively. A solid professional, he made everything even more perfect. Thank you sir!"
