Good place great service Only problem was hotel bathroom drain system old had a strong swage smell complaint made but no action taken

A very large resort a small supermarket but if not all inclusive would be a problem as to getting cabs to the local town could get expensive Night life for kids good but adults cannot even seat outside in the evening s with a drink as pool bar closes at 6 pm Unless you go to the payable restaurants and champs sports bar not very good if paid for all inclusive We was in block 7 but as there are still steps to the lift if getting on a bit would be a problem as me and my wife 70 and 65 years Overall as we had our son his wife and 3 small grandchildren but they 4 minutes walk away why we wasn’t put nearer each other one would never know but we did not book at the same time they were near the reception and dinning room but did have a few cockroaches in there room trying to use the microwave Overall good resort large pools

Really enjoyed our 5 day break here! We came to relax and take some time away and all 4 of us enjoyed the experience! We were on the royal side, which I think was lucky as the active side felt less luxury and the main bar was very claustrophobic with no windows. We did join the queue for the sunbeds but only due to us wanting 4 beds together, in reality after an ever mad rush (take it in good humour!) there were still plenty of beds around. We also saw that at the active pool, there were loads of beds available, but the area wasn’t as nice as the royal side. We enjoyed all off the food and thought the all inclusive drinks were very good value. Entertainment people in the day did a great job, we didn’t go for the evening entertainment so I can’t really comment! €5 taxi into Costa teguise was very good! Overall we found Barcelo perfect for what we were after!

Visited the hotel in early September for a week with my boyfriend. Arrived around mid day - was told our room would be ready for 3pm which it was. We did have to lug our suitcases from reception to the last block up hill, when there was buggies available? The room was lovely and clean. We had a pool view room in block 6 which had a view of the pool and sea. Room was very big, the beds were very comfy - probably the best hotel bed I’ve slept in, the maids did a fab job everyday giving us fresh towels and cleaning the room. The food all round was very good. Found lunch to be poor some days however breakfast and dinner never disappointed us. Always fresh salads, lovely selection of cheese and always having pasta, chips and nuggets for the ones that are fussy. Snack bar was also great having a great selection. The drinks. We loved the slush cocktails especially the strawberry daiquiri’s - sometimes the que for a drink was quite long but staff serve quickly. In the evening the slushy cocktails weren’t available but they did a selection of other cocktails that were nice too. My boyfriend enjoyed the AI cruz campo. Easy to book excursions in the hotel, staff are friendly and well organised ( the lady on the active side) All staff in the hotel have been friendly and attentive. My boyfriend used the gym during our stay and said it was excellent - he trains CrossFit so the gym was perfect for that. We did not go royal, we stayed in the active side, however did eat in the royal side some days. You have access to both pools, the resort is huge. . The only downside to this hotel is the sunbed wars - some people here behave like animals. The pool opens at 9 so if you want choice of a good sunbed you need to be there by 8:50, however this does not stop some rude people barging through the barrier and acting like animals to get a sunbed. Staff do not police the no reserving sunbeds very well, as people leg it under the rope before 9am when reserving is allowed. Other than the sunbed issue we had a a lovely stay and would return. Not much to do around the hotel but if you just want to chill it’s perfect.

To start we arrived at 9.30pm to a warm welcome and a glass of cava/fresh juice. Check nice and easy and had porter take tus to our room.( Big place). Double room excellent. Atmosphere was good. Nice and clean. Food excellent. All round mint place. Highly Recommend. Carmen on reception was excellent.

Just got back from a 5 night stay for my gfs birthday, really enjoyed my stay here. The beds are very VERY comfortable the food was always tasty with plenty of choice and there were a good choice of drinks at the all inclusive bar. The pool bar was great with self serving soft drinks, water and a beer pump. The food at the pool bar was also very good. The guest relations even left a nice bottle of champagne in the room for her birthday which was a lovely touch. My only slight criticisms were i thought this was only 1 hotel and didn’t realise until we checked in there were 2 and one was a basic all inclusive and one was a royal level, we had to cross the road into the other hotel. Not all drinks etc were included and certain pools we weren’t allowed to use. Also many a la cart and restaurants on the hotels grounds which you had to pay for, normally they are free if you book it. You can use once during your stay. Also the place could do with an outside bar to sit and relax. As there is only one bar at night inside which felt quite enclosed, as there were no windows or outside views, but we still enjoyed it nevertheless. The hotel is in a great location with a bus stop right outside that takes you into costa teguise centre. Or a short 5 min taxi. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.
