The Gailes Hotel & Spa ★★★★

"Room was clean and restaurant is amazing. I would not stay here again due to the noise. The walls are paper thin and not soundproofed properly meaning that you can hear every conversation and even snoring from the nearby rooms."

Irvine Bay ★★★

"Travelled with another couple for a 2night stay in Irvine and we had 2 out of the 3 available cottage rooms. Great accommodation with easy parking and access. Sits at the back of a house with rooms to let from the same host. Lovely, recently refurbed accommodation with a great small sitting area outside each of the rooms. Rooms have a fridge or wine fridge for keeping drinks cool which is a great addition. Bathroom has a roomy shower - which had good pressure. The only issue to raise was that this is the accommodation that you can hire if you have pets - which we didn't have a problem with - but a previous stay's pet had obviously pee'd in the accommodation because the smell was overpowering when we opened the room. Having said that we contacted the host and within minutes someone arrived to try to remedy the situation and the cleaners did an extra clean the next morning but the carpet is obviously needing a full clean. This would not stop us booking the accommodation with this host again because he obviously tries to respond when issues are raised."

St Andrews Guest House ★★★

"It is what it is no staff on site basic bedroom but with microwave and fridge which is always helpful. The bedroom and the bathroom were very clean on arrival I was very impressed... The shower cubicle however another matter.. thick black mould around the grouting and the silicon so much so that I had to go to the shop and buy bleach and a toothbrush to clean before I could use it, the shower was also hanging out of the wall could not easily be adjusted for fear of complete collapse"

Irvine Riverside Guesthouse ★★

"Really good use it all the time now and the staff was very good and very helpful to us"

Riverside Lodge Hotel ★★★★

"The sink in the bathroom was clogged and didn't get fixed, but the room is spacious and the quality of sleep was okay. i would still recommend it."
