You don't have to queue at the main scenic area entrance; you can walk directly to the core area by the lake. Building No. 1, Shoufanyuan, where we stayed, is the closest building to Slender West Lake in the entire hotel. From the room window, you can see a small patch of lake view with weeping willows, enjoying the scenery of Slender West Lake without even leaving your room. Additionally, Building No. 1 is only a 2-minute walk from the Black Pearl-rated Qüyuan Teahouse, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy authentic Yangzhou morning tea without a long trek through the park. **II. If you prefer a tranquil, retro atmosphere and want to experience the quality of a traditional state guesthouse, Building No. 1 is an excellent choice. The only thing you'll need to adapt to is the low shower pressure. If you're looking for brand-new modern facilities, consider buildings No. 8 or No. 18. For our trip, having already visited Slender West Lake, staying here meant we didn't need to re-enter the scenic area. We could enjoy a comparable lake and garden experience right within the hotel, perfectly meeting our need for a relaxed vacation."

"I saw this hotel on Ctrip in Xi'an, it was located in the old city of Yangzhou, so I booked it. Huaju Hotel is very beautiful, and the accommodation conditions are very good. This hotel is located on the edge of the ancient canal, and you can reach the ancient canal by walking about 30 or 40 meters. It is very pleasant to take a walk in the morning and evening. It is not far from Yangzhou's famous attractions, such as Ge Garden (1.5 kilometers), He Garden (less than 1 kilometer), Dongguan Street, and Slender West Lake. Opening the room door was a pleasant surprise, as we had a canal view right from the window. All the amenities demonstrated thoughtful, human-centered design. Almost all the staff we encountered during our two-day stay were polite and dedicated, making us feel right at home. We've traveled extensively and seen a lot, and it's rare to find a hotel with such well-trained staff. The hotel breakfast, as other guests mentioned, was indeed abundant and delicious. What touched us most was when our car was blocked by another guest's improper parking. After the hotel helped resolve the issue, they went above and beyond to apologize by giving our long-distance-travel-stained car a thorough wash. They even delivered the complimentary evening snacks to our room! The hotel's location is excellent, right outside Dongguan Street scenic area, where you can find everything from food to entertainment, all with a distinctive Yangzhou flavor. If we visit Yangzhou again, we will definitely choose Mercure Hotel."

The hotel's location is superb, making it very convenient for self-driving, and parking is also easy. The lobby has a grand and elegant ambiance, is clean and tidy overall, and the public areas are well-maintained. The guest rooms are spacious with comfortable bedding, and the hygiene details are meticulous, making it very reassuring to stay with children. Since the weather was bad, we booked the hotel's photo shoot service. We dressed the two children in traditional costumes without any extra styling, and the photos still exceeded our expectations. Xiaoran, the photographer from Shiqi Travel Photography, was especially patient and knew how to engage the children, capturing many natural and lively moments. She even thoughtfully retouched the children's makeup during post-processing, making the entire shooting process pleasant and enjoyable. Hotel service was excellent; the staff were friendly and responsive. The accompanying photo shoot service was a big bonus, allowing us to create precious memories for our trip even on a rainy day. Both in terms of travel convenience, accommodation environment, and ancillary services, this hotel is very suitable for family travel. "Our family had a wonderful trip to Yangzhou in March, and the Crowne Plaza Yangzhou was perfectly located in the bustling Guangling District, making it super convenient to get around. The hotel management seemed professional, and our stay was pleasant. Parking was easy, and although some of the facilities showed their age, it was clear that cleanliness and service were top-notch. The swimming pool, sauna, and gym were all great. The only minor drawback was that the complimentary tickets for the Zhuyu Zoo were limited to two per room, regardless of the number of guests. This meant some of our family couldn't go for free, which felt inefficient and probably hurt the hotel's intended marketing impact."
