Xingyi, who arrived at nearly 10 o'clock in the evening, arranged a car to pick us up early, which made people feel particularly at ease. The proprietress’s house is newly renovated. There is a yard behind the front door, and there is a large lawn behind it, which can dry clothes. The room is clean, tidy and bright, and the area is very large. Disposable toiletries are provided every day. There is no need to worry about hygiene. The whole house is intelligently awakened and closed. The whole family lives very comfortably and comfortably. The most valuable thing is to eat the breakfast made by the proprietress every morning. The category is very rich. The local flavors of noodles, rice noodles, various small buns, steamed buns, fruits, grains and grains can be eaten early or late. I feel it in the homestay, and the people in Guizhou are particularly good at their warm, simple and sincere quality. Come back next time.

I held off on writing this review because I was so incredibly satisfied! So, so satisfied! This was my second trip to Xingyi, and I convinced my international friends to choose Wanfenglin over Yangshuo. This hotel made our trip perfect from start to finish. The staff were all efficient, warm, and friendly, always ready to help with anything we needed, whether it was arranging a car rental, sending a package, or doing laundry. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, and on warm evenings, they even offered iced mung bean porridge. When we left, they gave us a gift of colorful rice, which was such a touching gesture! The room was clean and tidy, with a convenient wet/dry separation in the bathroom. Before bed, I even did some stretches following along on the large TV. And the stunning view from the window? That goes without saying! Don't forget to wear something nice and head up to the rooftop for some beautiful photos. The village is very quiet at night, so you don't need to worry about noise. Rent a bicycle and you can get to the Lower Nahui market in just 10 minutes. In the early morning or evening, take a stroll down to the boardwalk to see the dam and the large waterwheel, then wander through the fields – it's incredibly pleasant! Thank you, ladies! This guesthouse is probably the newest and best-equipped one in Wanfenglin. The newly opened guesthouse didn't have any unpleasant smells, which already surpasses many other guesthouses. The soaking tub in the room was large, and the kids used it several times. The views from the rooms and the guesthouse lobby were excellent, with a large field of rapeseed flowers right outside the door, making the lobby a beautiful spot for photos. The relaxation area on the fourth floor offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The guesthouse was very well-equipped, with plenty of instant noodles, biscuits, snacks, drinks, eye masks, bath sponges, and many other disposable items. They even thoughtfully provided toys, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers for the children. They served dessert in the evening and gave us a tea gift upon departure. They even extended our check-out time to 2 pm! The service was so good that we couldn't fit all the gifts in our suitcases. I highly recommend staying here.

The room has magnificent view of Wangfenglin range of mountain, it is tastefully design, clean and comfortable room. The front desk (both 小戴) are very helpful, helping us arranging our trip, transportation etc. it is also very convenient to visit other attraction area and shops and restaurants. The breakfast is also very delicious, every morning the chef 小吳 will greet me and asked me what would i like and bring me the breakfast, you can have your breakfast at the beautiful dining area at the back or the veranda in the garden .

This was the most pleasant surprise hotel on our trip to Qianxinan. Room 02 offers an absolutely stunning view. Waking up to the motorized curtains slowly opening, revealing the surrounded mountains of Wanfeng Lake outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, was like a vibrant landscape painting. I've stayed in many sea view and mountain view rooms, but this scene of mountains encircling and a turquoise lake partially visible is truly one-of-a-kind. Additionally, although there weren't many staff members, the two young ladies at the front desk provided service that was as meticulous and thoughtful as any five-star hotel. Our entire stay was very enjoyable. Finally, I have to commend the owner of Fengxi for their incredible vision in securing such a prime location – truly impressive! 👍

I love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination. I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location). The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable. ✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place: ✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English. ✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings. ✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place. ✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app. Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too. ✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking. ✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields. ✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin). ✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me. ✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did! Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms. On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome! ⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid): - If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique. - Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room. - In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all. - Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

During the 2026 Spring Festival, I traveled from Jinan, Shandong to Xingyi with my family and pet. Originally, I just wanted a clean and comfortable place to stay, but I unexpectedly found a whole warm and welcoming experience at Gu Shang Ju. Having stayed in countless hotels and guesthouses, only here did I truly feel what it means to have warmth, kindness, and thoughtfulness. I was reluctant to leave and must give this a positive review—this is my personal experience, and I, Li Hua, am not exaggerating. Upon arriving in Xingyi, the owner's warmth instantly touched me. Knowing that my in-laws were elderly and had difficulty traveling, she immediately drove to the high-speed rail station to pick them up and drop them off, providing meticulous and thoughtful service throughout. She treated them with the patience and care of her own elders, making the elderly couple feel instantly at ease upon arrival. After checking in, we discovered the kitchen lacked proper utensils, making cooking inconvenient. She repeatedly and warmly invited us to her home for meals, where a table was laden with steaming hot Guizhou-style home-cooked dishes, each bite a taste of home. The owner isn't a relative, but she's more than a family member. This sincerity and kindness were especially precious in an unfamiliar city, and they warmed our hearts. The owner was incredibly cheerful and generous, always enthusiastically recommending great attractions in Xingyi to help us avoid any pitfalls. She also absolutely adores animals! I brought my pet along without any worries or inconvenience; she was gentle and loving, exceptionally caring and tolerant of the little guy. We were truly lucky to have such a kind and compassionate pet owner. Being guests here was the greatest blessing of our trip. Gu Shang Ju not only boasts impeccable hospitality, but its facilities and attention to detail are also exceptional, completely exceeding our expectations. The entire house is equipped with smart technology. Just a simple call of ”Xiao Ai” (a smart speaker) upon entering allows you to easily manage everything in the house. No lifting a finger, no hassle—lazy people, the elderly, and children can all enjoy a very comfortable stay. The room design is warm and stylish, the decor exquisite and sophisticated, and the bedding is so soft and comfortable that you won't want to get up, sleeping soundly through the night. The attention to detail is evident throughout: the shower water is softened, with a gentle flow that leaves you feeling relaxed and comfortable after a bath; the in-room drinking fountain is a major highlight, providing sweet, warm drinking water with just the touch of a button—clean, hygienic, convenient, and quick, ensuring safe drinking water for the elderly and children at all times. The room itself is very new, yet completely odorless, clean, tidy, and well-ventilated, demonstrating meticulous daily cleaning and maintenance. Most thoughtfully, it also features an elevator, making it easy for the elderly or those with a lot of luggage to move around—perfect for family trips. The location is also superb, facilitating both travel and daily life! It's a ten-minute walk to the Malinghe Scenic Area, a 20-minute drive to the Wanfenglin 5A Scenic Area, and half an hour to the Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area. Whether you're visiting attractions or enjoying the scenery, everything is within easy reach, saving you time and effort. The surrounding amenities are surprisingly comprehensive: downstairs there's a farmers' market, pharmacy, supermarket, and countless restaurants and snack shops offering authentic flavors and a wide variety of choices. There are also two billiard halls, providing everything you need for leisure and entertainment. Staying here eliminates all the inconvenience of getting around or daily life, making for a truly immersive travel experience. The value for money is so high that I can't help but feel sorry for the owner: the prices are affordable, yet every detail—the decor, service, and everything else—is impeccable. She treats every guest with care, warmth, and sincerity. I often wonder, can such a genuine and dedicated woman really make money? In 2026, my New Year's journey began at Gu Shang Ju. Here, there was a comfortable living environment, meticulous care, and a rare sense of human warmth. Thank you to the kind and warm-hearted owner for making our time in Xingyi comfortable, safe, and heartwarming. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, accessible through the village, making it quieter than other guesthouses in the village. The rooms aren't very big, but the amenities and facilities are very comfortable. The heated clothesline is a thoughtful touch for this season. The cloth slippers provided by all Fengxi guesthouses are incredibly comfortable, and the felt tote bag is very practical for storing odds and ends in the car during long trips!

The room was amazing and super spacious. The owner even upgraded us to a triple room. The facilities were incredibly complete, and the courtyard was huge with a small swing. The rooftop balcony offered a stunning view of the rapeseed flowers – absolutely breathtaking! The owner was also incredibly kind; even though we hadn't done any research beforehand, she provided us with a comprehensive travel guide covering everything from food and accommodation to entertainment. It was truly fantastic! The guesthouse's little dog, named 80 Million, was also incredibly cute and friendly.

Great Location, awesome service crews. Went I booked this hotel, I didn't know it was inside the attraction area (Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area) and the package include the attraction fees. ( 200 meters south of Tourist Service Center of Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area, Jiangping Avenue, Xingyi, Guizhou, China) Actually, the entrance fees need to pay but most hotel will include the fees as package plus hop on and off the mini buses is free as long as we show our hotel pass. The room was neat, clean and cosy . Outer look ancient but the deco inside was modern. Especially, I like the door, using a lock. The hotel location was at the right starting point to the attraction, really convenient. The breakfast location was behind the reception but couldn't walk through. Therefore, they will send us via the mini bus to the breakfast location. The cafe have amazing view, only sad for me was coffee not avail. But the reception said they can make coffee for us at the reception area. (In this case, a bit inconvenience. Prefer coffee with breakfast and in one location) BTW, I did have a little fun with their free costume. They are new and clean with different sizes. They allow us to bring to the room to try and leave it till our check out day. Overall : We enjoy our stay, highly recommend.
