Xingyi Hotels with Gym

Whenever I travel, I always look for Atour hotels, so I was quite happy to find one in Xingyi. The room was comfortable, and overall it was a good stay. I've always felt that Atour's hygiene is pretty good, but I do have a small suggestion: the showerhead in my room's bathroom had noticeable limescale. I'd recommend regular cleaning or replacement, or perhaps using a fixed overhead shower (that's why I ended up washing my hair in the sink, haha).

This stay completely exceeded expectations, perfectly interpreting the five-star service. The hotel is decorated with high-quality texture, the room is smartly equipped, and the lighting curtains are controlled by one button. The bedding is fluffy and soft, and you can sleep until dawn when you lie down. The staff is professional and polite, the demand is responsive, the location is convenient, and the taxi and walk are worry-free. Whether it is a business trip or a parent-child trip, it is suitable and worth staying repeatedly.

Arriving late on our first day, tired and hungry, we were greeted at the door by the owner and front desk staff who helped us with our luggage. The owner, a very hospitable Chaoshan native, even invited us for tea. The room exceeded our expectations too; we could see Bagua Tian and the peak forest right from our balcony. The public area also had a play area for kids and a gym, which I highly recommend. The location is excellent, quite central, making it easy to get to both Shangnahui and Xianahui with a rented car, very convenient.

I rarely write reviews, but I hope this helps those who are interested. I can honestly say that Fenglin Diaojiaolou is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, both in terms of cleanliness and overall environment. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, and my standards for hotels are extremely high whenever I travel. Finding a suitable hotel is always the biggest headache, as I spend ages comparing options in my chosen area. Anyone with similar cleanliness standards will understand my struggle! From the initial inquiry to check-in, the Diaojiaolou staff were incredibly thorough and patient, helping me choose the perfect room. They genuinely went above and beyond to accommodate us. We booked three hotels for this trip, and honestly, the 3000+ yuan we spent here felt completely worth it. Since it's located within the scenic area, admission tickets are free. After booking, the butler immediately contacted us, arranged pick-up from the visitor center, and handled our luggage. The service was exceptional. We go through a lot of toilet paper because I don't use hotel towels, and whenever we made a request, they'd be there within 5 minutes, always incredibly polite. The hotel breakfast was also delicious. Being in the scenic area, you have the option to choose from three different dining places, which was absolutely fantastic. All in all, choosing Diaojiaolou was, in my opinion, the best hotel stay I've had in years. Below are some pictures of the amazing view from my room.

It's rare to find such a thoughtful and new hotel in Xingyi! As a new hotel that only opened in 2024, the amenities are truly impeccable: The room setup is heavenly. The most pleasant surprise was the inclusion of a microwave, a capsule coffee machine, a wet bar with a sink, and a hidden cabinet stocked with cutlery. This is incredibly practical for families with children or anyone who likes to whip up a late-night snack. The laundry room + gym connection (19th floor): This deserves a special mention! The washer-dryer combo solves the common travel headache of accumulating dirty laundry. The most thoughtful design feature is that the gym is right next to the laundry room. You can exercise while waiting for your clothes to finish washing, saving so much time. This setup truly understands the needs of frequent travelers. The front office manager, Mr./Ms. Xu, was meticulous and attentive, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming.

Facilities: There is a parking lot, there are plenty of parking spaces, hot water is very good, the water pressure is stable, the room lighting is too dark, there are six small lights, too dim, the floor is sticky, I don’t know if it’s oil or wax. Traveling from Heilongjiang to Kunming, we made a stop at Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area and decided to stay overnight in the village. Since I was traveling with a 3-year-old, staying in the village allowed us more time to explore, which was very convenient. After careful consideration, I chose this hotel, and it turned out to be the right decision! First, upon seeing my little one, the front desk manager immediately upgraded us to a king-sized bed room and arranged for a dedicated shuttle cart. We also received complimentary fruits and snacks. Despite being in a village, the amenities were surprisingly high-end. This was by far the best treatment we've received at a B&B throughout our trip. The room was also very clean. We were given breakfast coupons for a wonderful buffet, and even offered traditional Miao clothing to try on. All in all, it was a trip that truly exceeded expectations. The money spent on this accommodation was well worth it! The scenery in the area is incredibly beautiful, and the air in the morning was exceptionally fresh. Let's talk about the advantages first. It's a new hotel with an aesthetic design. The facilities are relatively new and complete. There is also a playground for children in the park, which is a good place for parents and children. The set meal in the restaurant is large, delicious and cheap. Every service staff is very friendly and enthusiastic. Then let's talk about the disadvantages. Although the service staff is very friendly, the service ability really needs to be improved. The luggage cart in the morning cannot be called, the restaurant does not have drinks (only the lobby bar has), the supplies are insufficient (the room has a brand new coffee machine without capsules), and the bar does not have a ready-made wine list (it's very interesting here. It is said that the hotel has hundreds of thousands of Cuban cigars and whiskeys, but there is no menu. The waiter called on the spot to get a wine list that is not like a four-in-one. It is recommended that the owner check the inventory. It is estimated that it is all loss). At the same time, there is no charging pile in the parking lot of this level of hotel, and you have to go to the town to charge... This service quality is in stark contrast to the facilities. It is recommended that those who take children and parents travel should go early while the hotel is new. It is still quite good. If couples have some quality requirements for vacation, they should choose carefully.

This hotel was renovated this year, and it seems like each floor features decorations from local ethnic minorities, which is quite unique. As soon as we entered the room, my baby wanted to watch TV. The TV must also be new this year; it has a large screen and excellent picture quality – definitely top-notch value for money! I was very happy with the room, and the bathroom also has a separate wet and dry area. After comparing several hotels in Xingyi, this one is definitely my first choice. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll stay here again next time!

There are a few things that I feel could be done better: 1. The room I stayed in was close to the road and the noise was a bit loud at night. This can be solved by placing a pair of disposable earplugs on your bedside table. 2. For a person who needs absolute darkness when sleeping, the central air-conditioning temperature is displayed (light) in the middle of the night. Although the light is very low, it has a little impact (this should be my fault, I didn’t find the switch to turn off the temperature display). - Finally, let’s talk about the advantages! : 1. This price range is unbeatable for where I live right now! (ps: I don’t know if it’s because of the off-season) 2. The breakfast was also great, with 2 big bowls of noodles (for someone who comes from out of town on a business trip, sometimes you can experience something special in breakfast). There is also coffee available in the lobby! 3. The service was also very good. They upgraded my room directly. The large floor-to-ceiling windows were great! 4. Because I was going to fly back to Zhejiang the next day, we provided airport drop-off service. (That’s why I say it’s invincible at the same price!!! It’s invincible!!!)
