Guest UserThe overall experience of this hotel is particularly good, the environment is quiet and tidy, the rooms are cleaned spotlessly, all kinds of facilities are complete and easy to use, and the living is very comfortable. In particular, I would like to praise the two young ladies, Xixi and Jiajia at the front desk, who treat people gently and enthusiastically, check in is efficient and fast, patiently answer my various questions, and also recommend the surrounding places to play, the service is meticulous and warm, the overall price is very high, and I will choose here next time I stay.

The overall Chinese-style decor was very comfortable, the environment was excellent, clean, and the facilities were complete. It's very close to Wanfenglin, Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area, and Yanggu, making it very convenient. A top choice for accommodation.

Guest UserFacilities: The amenities are comprehensive. The soundproofing in the room is excellent; I couldn't hear any conversations from next door. The constant temperature air conditioning was very convenient, and the window screens were a nice touch.
Cleanliness: They provide disposable toilet seat covers, and the quality of the disposable toiletries is quite high, which was good. Even the small stool on the balcony had been wiped down; it wasn't dirty even when I cleaned it with an alcohol wipe.
Environment: The hotel faces a popular scenic spot in Wanfenglin Scenic Area, offering beautiful views.
Service: The service was warm and the owner was exceptionally kind.

XiaoyunerI rarely write reviews, but I hope this helps those who are interested. I can honestly say that Fenglin Diaojiaolou is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, both in terms of cleanliness and overall environment. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, and my standards for hotels are extremely high whenever I travel. Finding a suitable hotel is always the biggest headache, as I spend ages comparing options in my chosen area. Anyone with similar cleanliness standards will understand my struggle! From the initial inquiry to check-in, the Diaojiaolou staff were incredibly thorough and patient, helping me choose the perfect room. They genuinely went above and beyond to accommodate us. We booked three hotels for this trip, and honestly, the 3000+ yuan we spent here felt completely worth it. Since it's located within the scenic area, admission tickets are free. After booking, the butler immediately contacted us, arranged pick-up from the visitor center, and handled our luggage. The service was exceptional. We go through a lot of toilet paper because I don't use hotel towels, and whenever we made a request, they'd be there within 5 minutes, always incredibly polite. The hotel breakfast was also delicious. Being in the scenic area, you have the option to choose from three different dining places, which was absolutely fantastic. All in all, choosing Diaojiaolou was, in my opinion, the best hotel stay I've had in years. Below are some pictures of the amazing view from my room.

Traveling from Heilongjiang to Kunming, we made a stop at Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area and decided to stay overnight in the village. Since I was traveling with a 3-year-old, staying in the village allowed us more time to explore, which was very convenient. After careful consideration, I chose this hotel, and it turned out to be the right decision! First, upon seeing my little one, the front desk manager immediately upgraded us to a king-sized bed room and arranged for a dedicated shuttle cart. We also received complimentary fruits and snacks. Despite being in a village, the amenities were surprisingly high-end. This was by far the best treatment we've received at a B&B throughout our trip. The room was also very clean. We were given breakfast coupons for a wonderful buffet, and even offered traditional Miao clothing to try on. All in all, it was a trip that truly exceeded expectations. The money spent on this accommodation was well worth it! The scenery in the area is incredibly beautiful, and the air in the morning was exceptionally fresh. Thank you to the owner, and I wish you a prosperous business! This is my first time writing such a detailed review, I swear, haha. The experience was fantastic!

The hotel's facilities and environment were excellent, meeting five-star standards. After breakfast, strolling around the grounds and soaking in the hot springs was very relaxing. However, the breakfast and cleanliness were just average; the floor tiles didn't look very clean, and while the breakfast looked plentiful, there wasn't much to eat. The overall service was poor, mainly due to staff shortages. We had booked a tour bus, and they kept saying it was almost there, but it never arrived. After waiting for over 40 minutes, we had to yell at the front desk, and finally they said the bus had gone to refuel… Out of desperation, we questioned the front desk whether, if this caused delays to our entire trip, we would also be given a delayed check-out, just like with service delays. Immediately, a staff member drove us around themselves… This service is something for others to judge 😂. Speaking of check-out, we handed our room keys to the front desk and left around 11:00 AM, but the staff called us again at 2:30 PM to ask if we wanted to extend our stay, saying we hadn't checked out…

The time to Xingyi this time was not very good. It caught up with the extreme climate. During the day, the temperature was basically 1 and 2 degrees. The body felt very cold. At this time, it reflected the advantages of the hot spring courtyard. If you want to soak in the hot spring, you don’t have to go downstairs and wear a bathrobe. It’s very convenient and comfortable.
The room is a living room with tatami plus a big bed bedroom. It is not big. The two people live very comfortably. If a family of three has to make a bed on the tatami, the space is slightly cramped. The greening of the small courtyard is very good, it can be seen that it is carefully designed, but unfortunately the few days we lived were too cold to sit in the yard.
The attitude of the hotel staff is very good, there is a problem to help solve the first time, the service is very user-friendly.
Say some shortcomings: there is no dining around the hotel, entertainment is only limited to soup Chinese medicine, slightly monotonous. Because there is no food nearby, I have eaten a few times in the hotel restaurant, the taste is uneven, some dishes are good and some are very general (maybe it is my personal taste problem, here is not criticism). However, the hotel guests have 15% off, the restaurant does not mark the waiter or remind, we asked casually on the last day of checkout, the waiter said that although it is a small matter, but it should not. Especially on the first day, I called to order a meal and told the staff that I was going to check in and wanted to order a meal, without saying that there was a discount for in-house guests. Similarly, when buying seedling medicine products and doing self-funded seedling medicine treatment, you don't ask, he doesn't say, people feel that they can charge more money and collect more. It feels bad, and it is not formal. The first time I encountered consumption in the hotel, I had to bargain everywhere.

The room was comfortable and well-equipped, offering a quiet and refreshing environment. The restaurant staff were very welcoming, and the breakfast had a great variety of dishes, both meat and vegetarian, and was incredibly tasty. They even offered room service! Dinner was also excellent and very delicious. Next time I visit Wanfenglin, I'll definitely be staying here again!

Guest UserThe room was clean and the breakfast was abundant. Starting the day with a bowl of rice noodles, especially with the braised beef topping, was simply delicious! The hotel also has its own underground parking, and it's conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. The front desk even upgraded our room and gave us complimentary breakfast, so overall, we had a fantastic experience.

Guest UserThere are a few things that I feel could be done better:
1. The room I stayed in was close to the road and the noise was a bit loud at night. This can be solved by placing a pair of disposable earplugs on your bedside table.
2. For a person who needs absolute darkness when sleeping, the central air-conditioning temperature is displayed (light) in the middle of the night. Although the light is very low, it has a little impact (this should be my fault, I didn’t find the switch to turn off the temperature display).
-
Finally, let’s talk about the advantages! :
1. This price range is unbeatable for where I live right now! (ps: I don’t know if it’s because of the off-season)
2. The breakfast was also great, with 2 big bowls of noodles (for someone who comes from out of town on a business trip, sometimes you can experience something special in breakfast).
There is also coffee available in the lobby!
3. The service was also very good. They upgraded my room directly. The large floor-to-ceiling windows were great!
4. Because I was going to fly back to Zhejiang the next day, we provided airport drop-off service. (That’s why I say it’s invincible at the same price!!! It’s invincible!!!)
