As a first-time surfer 🏄♀️, this all-inclusive stay (food, accommodation, and activities) was fantastic. I didn't have to worry about a thing; I could just ask the hotel butler anytime (they provide contact info). A special shout-out to our butler, Mia, who was incredibly responsive and always came through 👍.
We were upgraded to the Yuanyu Hotel area. The clean and elegant architectural design instantly brought a sense of peace and comfort to my restless mind, especially in the hot 🥵 weather of Wanning, Hainan. The room was spacious, and I immediately soaked in the large bathtub after cleaning it. I didn't get to use the hotel pool because I was too tired and it was too late when I returned that day. My only two minor complaints about this hotel area are that it's a bit far from the pool… which is why I didn't bother going for a swim 🏊♀️. Also, cars occasionally pass on the road from the Yuanyu Hotel to the main lobby, which felt a bit dangerous…
Regarding the overall experience within the resort, I hope they can improve the signage. Some user pathways require pre-planning and clearer guidance. Taking the swimming pool as an example again, it was a bit hard to find 👀 after leaving the lobby."

The poolside photos are especially photogenic when the lights are on. Xiao Xu was very enthusiastic; I often felt like he treated me more like a brother than a guest, helping me with my luggage and recommending good restaurants nearby. A hundred thumbs up!

WWaikin.mDe Vivre is to live, and you will never feel more alive here. Away from the hectic city life and mundane repetitive everyday work rush, you can wind down and relax here. The setting of the place is like a garden, it has a touch of rustic yet modern. If you are looking for a place to take photos then this is the place for you. Every inch of De Vivre will produce the best photo you can ever ask for. They even provide a free photography service for you if you need( first 3 photos is by the photographer).
The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs.
They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant.
If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. The room always smells very pleasant.
Last but not least, I just wanna say this is not a sponsored post hahaha. These are all heartfelt feelings and I would definitely find time to go back there. They definitely made me feel like home even away from home. This is the perfect getaway for anyone.

GGuest UserI recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots.
The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious.
The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price.
Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. If you're looking for a peaceful yet social spot to surf, this is it.

While my room didn’t face the ocean directly, it overlooked a beautiful garden full of lush tropical trees and plants. It felt like waking up in the middle of a quiet jungle oasis. I loved how calming it was — birds chirping in the morning, swaying palm trees, and so much natural light.
The room itself was spotless and stylish, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed. You can tell they care about maintaining the place really well.

The staff were professional and considerate, handling check-in efficiently and answering all my questions with great patience, making me feel right at home. They even went extra mile to pick us at the ShenZhou Station which is approximately 3-4mins away from the hotel.
The room was spacious, bright, clean, and well-equipped with high-quality amenities. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom featured a separate shower and bathtub, with plenty of hot water and stable water pressure.

GGuest UserYou need to take a shuttle bus to get to the hotel from the surf camp, but if you contact the hotel in advance, they'll arrange it for you. The driver was very friendly and enthusiastic. I chose a room near the pool, and it wasn't as noisy at night as I'd imagined. The hotel is right on the beach. All the staff were quite welcoming and had a great service attitude. Everything was good, except the room was a bit small!

FFubaoqingjiuA very warm and clean B&B opened by a kind couple from Shanghai, who adopted stray cats and dogs. The B&B is Moroccan in style, and was built bit by bit by themselves. Living there feels like being at home.
The handsome boss cooks delicious dishes. We ate at the B&B for two consecutive days. The ingredients are fresh, the braised pork is so delicious, the boss is also a good DJ, and he is also a master of wooden art crafts👍
The breakfast was very rich and different for two consecutive days. There is a parrot in the B&B that stays on the proprietress's head all day long. It's so cute.
The B&B is very close to the beach, just a short walk away. It is best to go there at dusk when there are fewer people and the scenery is beautiful, with many people surfing.

GGuest UserThe vibe at Surfers Garden is chill and cool but a little bit too much. My room had no towels, no toilet paper. Cabinet to store my things in the shared room couldn’t lock. The room itself can’t lock from the outside as well and too often when I was looking for someone at the reception there were no one …
When you finally catch someone to give you a towel, be aware that it’s a disposable towel. So better bring your own.
In the morning, don’t hope to get a coffee at their bar before 9am or 10am. The whole place looks a bit messy and the reception space looks unfinished. Staff is friendly tho.

You can reach the Ri Yue Wan beach where you will find bar/coffee, clubs, shops, surfing clubs etc. in 15 min walking or 5min by e-bike. Ri Yue Wan beach area is definitely the place to be to enjoy a good “beach/surfer” vibe sipping a cocktail in front of the beach. At night, this place turn into a music festival area where everyone display live show music and DJ and expect fireworks on the beach almost every 15min. If you are looking for surfing club in this area, I would recommend to check Shaka surf club. Good service, good price, and so far the most professional to me at Ri Yue Wan.
