Sunshine Mountain Lodge

The location near mountains and ski slopes, convenient access to Banff, and helpful, friendly staff provide great service. Easy transportation options enhance the stay.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The bed is comfy with two good pillows. Our Room was cleaned daily and we were also given two bottles of water on a daily basis. When you arrive you check in at the bottom of the mountain before taking a cable cart up that took about 20 minutes. You then check in again at the top. There are two restaurants available aswell as a shop open between 10pm and 2am for late night snacks. We also enjoyed excellent service from Milson who drove us down the mountain, providing recommendations and a friendly chat. We needed to travel down the mountain to catch the 1st bus at 810 and he drove us down after we booked at reception. He was friendly and great to chat to telling us all about the resort and local wildlife. The only negative we had are that the rooms are not very soundproof - we had a mountain view room and you can hear the chairlift going up and down from 8am and people talking in the corridor aswell. The hot tub is excellent and we really enjoyed using it. They also provide complimentary smores over a gas lit fire between 8-9pm. We enjoyed getting the chairlift up for a short hike. It was fantastic views and we recommend doing this in a clear day as you can see all 3 lakes as shown by the pamphlet provided. They also have a complimentary shuttle bus that goes to and from Banff town centre 8 times throughout the day which was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities and staff made up for the noise in the room and we will be back to sample this in the winter.

Just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Sunshine Mountain Lodge and had an amazing experience. The staff from start to finish were always very friendly and very attentive. Hotel management when above and beyond to make our special day even more memorable. Thank you Thank you Thank you Without question my wife and I would stay again in the future. We really enjoyed the West Wing loft room and would recommend these suites to anyone who wants delicate their experience.
