We booked a two bedroom holiday apartment which was situated across the road from the main hotel. The apartment was very outdated, everything was worn down and old. We did like that we had a very small kitchen to use for eating light snacks but other than there weren't many positives with the accommodation. Beds were terrible, pillows even more horrendous. We did enjoy the spa when it was quieter but the rush hours were awfully crowded. Spa is also outdated and could use an extensive remodel. Saunas weren't good which is surprising since Finland is known for its excellent saunas. The breakfast was not appetising at all. The variety, quality and presentation of food was poor. Hygiene and cleanliness weren't upheld: there was a lot of food on the floor which wasn't cleaned and also the breakfast tables were very dirty/grubby. The staff wasn't friendly. All in all I wouldn't recommend the hotel. Only if you can snag a very competitive offer for the accommodation, it might be a good deal if you enjoy swimming or just relaxing in different pools since you can use the spa as much as you like during your stay. Otherwise I would steer clear!

Very friendly staff and nice athmosphere. We got upgraded to a chalet with a private sauna and the room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast serving was OK nothing special. Spa area is nice but can get too crowded at times. Highly recommend to stroll around the area as it is peaceful and there are plenty of paths.

Well.. first of all, this stay included cruise at saimaa, what was cancelled due to weather (of course safety first), and 1hr bowling track, what was closed and no-one told us. We got (after asking) free dinners as compensation. Rooms are very out-dated, straight time warp to 80/90's. God awful pillows and nasty beds. Staff at reception didn't greet at all, just talking crap. *** comes from location, hotel itself gets solid ** and staff 1 1/2*. Really what we call mummotunneli.

Kylpylähotelli on todella remontin tarpeessa. Näyttää siltä, ettei tiloja juuri ole uusittu 90-luvun jälkeen. Kylpylä on melko pieni eikä siellä ole porealtaita kuin ulkona. Huone oli hieman nuhjuinen, nahkatuolin päällinen oli viillelty ja verhot huonot/vanhat. Kylpyhuone oli melko siisti. Plussaa on henkilökunta, kaikki olivat mukavia ja avuliaita. Mutta Imatran kylpylän kuten muidenkin Suomen kylpylöiden täytyy uusia tilansa lähitulevaisuudessa.

Nicely located by the lake, great view and options to explore the surroundings
One of the best hotel gyms I've ever seen!!! The multiple training areas really offer most bells and whistles one can ask for!
Breakfast was great and plentyful, baked beans would be a nice add on though
Economy rooms are rather like accommodation in a youth hostel: a bit worn, linoleum flooring in the main and bathroom; piping in the bathroom is exposed; rather functional than fancy which was a bit unexpected in a spa hotel
Multiple saunas available but no relaxing/reclining areas to rest and read in between sauna sessions
I would come back but opt for a better room. Also a relaxing area for the sauna is a must which I hope will be added in the near future.

The place is very peaceful, quiet and surrounded by the beautiful nature outside . We enjoyed very much the pools inside and at the same time the serenity of the nature outside.

You’ve stayed here three years in a row and are still excited to stay there again next year. Really excellent view from the rooms. Well kept and very clean. Very helpful staff. Really nice to have a gym there as well. We really enjoy our stay at the spa hotel fantastic Access to Lake. Great hikes and walks nearby. Very close to main roads that connect to the highway. Very relaxing place to be. Grateful for couples and families.

Nice spa hotel with plenty of activities
The room was clean and generally comfortable, but there was no proper air-conditioning. This is normally not an issue in Finland, but there happened to be very warm weather during our stay. The service was friendly and breakfast met our expectations. There is a nice spa in the hotel and many other indoor or outdoor activities available in the hotel and the surrounding area.
