Oleander's Garden Traditional Cretan Cottage ★★★

"The Oleanders Garden exceeded all expectations! From the very beginning of my stay. I was greeted by smilling and frriendly staff, re ady to help with any issue. The room was spacious, bright and very cozy, with everthing you need for a comfortable stay, The breakfest were simply gorgeous, with a large selection of dishes for every taste. I would especially like to note the cleanliness and order in the hotel, as well as the staff's attention to detail. The hoel is located in a gorge surrounded by mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of the ciy. Within walking distance are beaches with criystal clear water, hiking trails, the Mylonas waterfall, traditional Greek taverns, minimarkets, pharmacies. In gerneral, I was absolutely delighted with the Oleanders Garden an will be happy to come back here again! Many thanks to all the staff for an unforgettable vacation!"

""A dreamlike hotel complex with genuine hospitality" One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. In April and early May, it was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The entire team was exceptionally friendly, warm, and always ready to help. You immediately sense that genuine hospitality is practiced there. I particularly remember the blonde lady at reception, who was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic every day – varied, fresh, and delicious. My favorite spot was the beautiful lounge area around the bar. There, you could sit in a very elegant and relaxed atmosphere during the day and enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea. The staff there were also incredibly friendly."

"Wonderful stay. It was so welcoming and Beautiful. The food was AMAZING! We would come back here in a heartbeat. The views were fab toward the sea. This hotel, is not perfect, parking could be better, it's a little hair-raising parking out front, on a hill, on a village road up a mountain, for the uninitiated-what I wouldn't have given for a parking lot! One of the nights there was family. A very loud family in the room next door and we could hear everything. But honestly it doesn't take away from how much we LOVED this stay. You should stay here, especially if you are a foodie. Fabulous! And I miss little hermes to scratch at dinner, and the kitties too.. Oh breakfast was just.. Ah the coffee is so strong and great, and the cheese pie, and the Greek yogurt. Still think about breakfast here. "

"It is such a beautifully designed hotel, high ceilings with a clean relaxed minimal interior we felt very relaxed upon arrival. The toilets in the basement instead of dark and damp is filled with light because there’s a water filled ceiling, the light dance around the room, it was a big surprise! The buffet is fresh and made with local produce, everyday there are something different to chose from, it is absolutely delicious! I even ask for the recipe of some sauces for me to try to recreate at home. The infinity pool is a good size and overlooks the beach, which we also visited often. The evening entertainment and kids club was fantastic, my kids was very happy and I felt comfortable knowing they are nearby. I have recommend this hotel to my friends and family and I hope to return next year because we really enjoyed our stay."

"We wanted to stay 8 nights in this hotel and were so looking forward to our holiday but unfortunately got so disappointed!!! The hotel looks like an old airport hotel not at all like the pictures. The included drinks are a joke. It’s cheap syrup coke (no Coke Zero at the beach bar included, but you can buy it lol) and other Softdrinks. Wine is from a tetra pack and the food wasn’t really good either. The worst part was that our room had a really bad view and our shower wasn’t working properly. But they did not let us change our room. It’s also on a very busy road you have to cross to get to the beach. all in all we were very disappointed and sad that we had this experience. We left after 3 nights."

"A wonderful complex with 8 apartments, beautifully furnished with everything you need. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed is comfortable, and there's a separate toilet and shower. A lovely balcony offers a partial sea view. The pool area is lovely, with complimentary sun loungers, towels, and slippers. The owners are incredibly friendly and attentive. The complex is situated on a hill above the main road. A car is essential, as the climb is very strenuous on foot, and there's nothing within walking distance. The nearest beach is a 10-minute walk away, but due to the steep terrain, you need to be in good physical condition. It's not recommended for wheelchair users. We were thrilled with the complex. It's very tidy and clean. Breakfast is available upon request."

"The photo’s only show the best room. In the room it wasn’t even possible to place a suitcase on the floor without blocking everything. I think this was the worst hotel I since years stayed and far far below any modern standard. Only the hotel lobby felt comfortoble. For the same price you have available so many nice other hotels. ＜＜＞＞"

"The Deluxe suite with sea view and two bedrooms was spacious, nice terrace. The other two balconies belonging to the apartment were without furniture. Two toilets. Well worth the money, highly recommended. Straight across the beach. Note that the reception is at the hotel, which is not that close, and it is not open all the time. The doors are with codes, so do the online check-in, so you get the codes by email. The room door panel for the code needs strong presses. The breakfast is very modest."
