A cute hotel with a blue roof.
You can see the horses in the distance, the air is clear, and it was a great location. I slept peacefully at night.
The staff were friendly and it was a great stay!

When we arrived at the hotel that night, it was past 8 o'clock and the restaurant was closed. The waiter took out a simple map and patiently explained the locations of nearby restaurants. The breakfast was buffet style, richer than expected and very satisfying. The hotel is very uniquely decorated and has many card slots. There is free parking and the location is convenient, just 5 minutes away from the Lava Centre.

The staff were great. The room was large, everything worked, the furniture showed signs of age, but had characture. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, especially the home cured lamb.
Unfortunately the resturant was closed, but we were directed to one nearby and given a 10% discount code. The room had tea and coffee making facilitates, with tea bags, coffee and sugar, but no milk. It was disappointing that the reception area was closed every evening as there was seated areas, a pool table, chess set etc.

Cosy and friendly hotel.
This is a friendly hotel, run by very nice people and is well located to visit the south coast of Iceland around Vik. Some of the decor is a little tired but the hotel has a homely 'old fashioned' feel to it, giving it a cosy atmosphere. Breakfast was very good. One comment I would make is that the mattresses on the beds need replacing, they were quite lumpy. If that could be done, then I'd definitely recommend a stay at the Fljotshlid

It says in the description that the hotel has a restaurant but when we arrived the only dishes available were just 2 types of soup.... that s just not caring at all for tourists. We were woken up really early by the sound of furniture shifting, probably cleaning rooms really early. Breakfast also very basic. We were also told the lobby will be closed so we could not even enjoy the pool table after "dinner" .... this is more of a farm stay but can t be called a proper hotel with a proper restaurant.

Old, but quaint. Beautiful farm setting. Pretty far in the middle of nowhere. There is a small town nearby- Breakfast was wonderful!! Workers wonderful! Good location - midway.
