Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Huntsville

The pictures on the website was of a different Microtel Hotel. The outside was littered with cigarette butts and an open trash can. The inside has obvious water damage in several areas and has a musty smell! Windows were missing screens and many were damaged. The kitchen area for breakfast was small and could only accommodate one/two people at a time. It had a score of 75 from a recent inspection and it showed! The hotel was not inviting and when I asked to speak to the manager (Mr. S. Patel) to express my concerns and ask for a refund, of course I was met with resistance. In any event, we didn’t stay and they charged us for a night’s stay. I’ve stayed in Microtel’s before and have never had this problem. Would not ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

Its good for a quick stay Its good if you need something for a night or needing to be close to AAMU.

Don't stay here!! Check in was great, the lady was very nice. When she left and we actually got in our room the tv wouldn’t turn off and the volume wasn’t working. I spoke with a man and he swapped out the remote, not bothering to see if it was only the batteries. I had to go back to tell him they didn’t work either. He was very smug and seemed that I was bothering him. I asked to be given another room he gave us a room on the 3rd floor. The smoke alarm was covered in plastic, the light switch looked like they had been burnt, there was duct tape on the dryer, so couldn’t be used. The carpet was awful.. stains, sticky. Breakfast only had waffles and coffee but no sugar, seems they haven’t had any in weeks so I was told. The only reason we stayed was because there isn’t another hotel near my family, as one is being built now and in the future we will be staying a different hotel.

They have dirty sheets have my damn boyfriend an eye infection and damn there he had pink eye. It unacceptable for yall to have even roaches dead ones and alive in the bed that yall say that room service cleans. Will never go again for a stay or anything

The rooms cleanliness wasn’t very good. The floor was extremely dirty. The sheets and bathroom were clean though

The front desk was the best thing in this hotel. It was for one night and I’d stayed at Microtels before. Underwhelmed. It’s in bad need of a makeover.
