Baymont by Wyndham Howell/Brighton

Horrible hotel, do not stay! The place is dirty, carpets old and stained. Found a few random bugs in the room (luckily not bed beds) but pretty sure one was a small cockroach on the sink. The AC was super noisy, it screeched every time it kicked on and I didn’t sleep as a result. The TV was small and sounded robotic at times because it was old. There was a walnut size hole in the wall. Bathroom was small and hard to close door when in there (no room). The door to room was warped so had to push it shut with force. Bed was hard. I could not lean back on the desk chair because it would tip over. Terrible experience.

To whom it may concern: I recently made 2 reviews of your Howell, MI hotel on TripAdvisor. In my second review (which was actually included in my review of the Howell Kensington Inn), I wanted to elaborate on a comment I had made in my first review where I stated that I hoped I wouldn’t get bed bug bites at your hotel suggesting bed bugs were attracted to old or moldy food. I did some research on bed bugs and discovered that bed bugs are actually not attracted to old food/mold. I sincerely apologize for my comment even though I never meant to presuppose that your hotel actually had them. I apologize to your cleaning staff as well and I know they do an excellent job. Every once in a while cleaning spots are overlooked and I was too harsh in my response to your staff for just a couple spots that were missed. I hope that you will let the staff here know that I am very sorry for disrespecting their good work. Thank you, Dan Stradley

Clean, well-maintained property that is obviously family-owned and operated. Didnt use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. Would stay there again if in the area. Thank you!

booked the jacuzzi tub suite and loved it. The room was huge. The only complaint is the TV placement in the room was awkward and we had to move the table to see from bed.

The hotel halls are disgusting. It stinks in the halls, and in the rooms. I came into my room after dark and roaches began to scatyer in the bathroom. Turned on lights and opened refrigerator cabinet to finanother cluster of roaches scatter. Toilet water was turned off at check in, discovered that was because it leaks when turned on. Was told I'd receive a refund, but instead saw a second charge pending in my bank account. We'll see if I ever receive a refund without contacting customer service for *******. I doubt it, though based on how the desk staff was so smug and laughing about it suggesting we just go up to the room and they spray raid.

The property was absolutely filthy. Had rented two rooms for our family of five and the rooms had stains on box springs and rooms had cockroaches. Absolutely disgusting. The emplyee at the desk when we asked for a refund told us its the season for cockroaches. Would never recommend this place. Stay away. Nit worth your money. Elevators did not work from the 3rd floor ither.
