"I had a fantastic 2-night stay here. The double room with a sea view was absolutely wonderful, clean, and very comfortable. Waking up to the sight of the ocean was a highlight of my trip. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely choose to stay here again!"

"Rooms are entered and exited on an outside ‘fire escape’ stairway at the rear of the property. Door into a very cramped area leading to the rooms. Small room with metal shelved cabinet, so nowhere to hang clothes. Shower room with high window which can’t be opened. We were booked in for two nights, but left after one night. No breakfast available, so too much money for a very inadequate room. "

"I needed an inexpensive room for one night prior to some cricket at the County Ground and I would be arriving late in the evening then checking out first thing - the quality of the hotel was therefore not hugely important when I was looking to book. However, it’s a real shame I haven’t been able to spend more time here, as the room was very comfortable, extremely clean and the whole place managed with real warmth and attention to detail by the team. Paying less than £100 for a well-designed room with lots of little extras - and to have an excellent breakfast included in the price too - seemed very good value for a property so close to the seafront. I will be back with some regularity for the cricket and, whenever I return, I will make sure I stay here. Thank you for doing everything so well - and for the Fruit Salads and Blackjacks by the bed!"

"We stayed for 2 nights in the lovely garden room, very peaceful with a nice view. Room was spacious with fabulous comfy bed, beautiful bathroom with bath, shower, quality toiletries and bath robes. A real bonus having the small kitchen which was well equipped for preparing a simple breakfast before heading out to explore Hove and the surrounding area. Excellent location for restaurants, shops and pubs, easy bus ride into Brighton. Five minute walk to the lovely promenade and beach area. Managed to park our car right outside and was £18 for 48 hours. However the highlight of our stay was the amazing hospitality of Liz and Dexter who were always on hand to provide tips and recommendations. They are such a lovely couple and we can’t wait to return."

Best Western Princes Marine Hotel ★★★
"Lovely hotel, room was clean and had nice touches like good choice of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and toiletries. Employees were helpful and friendly. Room was quiet. No lounge as such but a restaurant and a sofa in reception, and bar snacks are just until 2pm (full restaurant open in the evening) but double room was comfortable and had two chairs and a table that we positioned together so that it was like a little seating area in the room. Radiator was effective and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was modern. The hotel managed to combine a good mix of traditional and modern."

"Our children go to St Andrew school which is the next road along and we’ve always gone to The Stirling end of term to have a drink and get the kids food. Always been a great experience. UNTIL THEY CHANGED MANAGEMENT!!! Last day of Christmas term booked a table for 10 people. We bought drinks and food and smarties Which the pub sold! When one of the ladies bought the bowls of chips for the children she aggressively slammed the food on the table and demanded any smarties on the floor should be picked up now…while saying this fell to the floor picking up smarties throwing them on the table! As a parent I chose to not say anything and sort my children placing their chips on the table. I then went to the bar to hear her talking badly about our CHILDREN!! Which I mentioned to another bar woman I had heard. This lady then proceeded to come over and aggressively argue with me in front of the children that the smarties are doing to ruin the floor, never mind the red wine that had been spilt on the table next to us on the floor that was ok. VILE TO CHILDREN!!!! AGGRESSIVE TO CHILDREN AND PAYING RESIDENTS!!! Will never go back"

"This lovely little Bed and Breakfast was great as a base to go out to experience Brighton . It was a small room but perfect size for 2 people.Off the main Road and was very quiet at night from traffic. The bed was really comfy and an amazing breakfast that was really thought out. Mini fridge with fresh milk and orange juice. The room had everything you need for a very cosy ,comfy stay . Bus stop 5 minutes walk away. Seaside 10 minutes walk away . Restaurants galore . Sue was a lovely host and really appreciate the effort she went to. Would definitely come back."

"Surprise 75th birthday tea! Arrived thinking there were going to be 4 of us and found 18 members of my family in one of function rooms - Surprise ! Table beautifully set , so pretty with bone china crockery and afternoon tea was super - such an interesting hotel too with original items and art for purchase . Plenty of freshly made sandwiches, warm scones + cream & jam, and fab cakes, what more could we ask. The special children's tea was declared superb. Service from friendly staff was great and added bonus of pretty garden for children to explore - my 97 year old mum managed the steep steps at front and we had a great afternoon. Thanks to Coralie and all her friendly staff. We had no need to stay as all live locally , so sometimes we don't experience local hotels - we'll be back !"
