Had a great weekend stay, nice area and clean

I had an incredible stay at the Marriott Marquis Houston! From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Karen at the front desk did an outstanding job checking us in and took the time to explain everything about the hotel — she truly set the tone for a great visit. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. After staying for six nights, I was so impressed by how consistently the team went above and beyond — even offering me a bottle of water each evening when I returned to the hotel. My room was spotless and perfectly maintained throughout my stay. The amenities are fantastic — I loved the pool, the lazy river, and especially the spa. I treated myself to an 80-minute massage, which was the perfect way to unwind after a busy week at a conference. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.

Excellent property and staff. Delsa from the engineering department did a great job taking care of our room. Restaurants were excellent. Our only complaint was the Houston car culture that hung out in the adjacent parking lot on Friday and Saturday nights until 2am. Trucks and tuner cars making a lot of non-stop noise, which kept us awake even though we were on the 21st floor. Not a hotel problem but the manager should be aware and ask the local PD to break it up by 11pm.

Love the Marriott marquis! Beautiful luxurious pool and hotel. Took my daughter for her 3rd bday and the staff really went out of their way to make her feel special! Top tier customer service and will definitely be back! Thank you Micaela for everything!

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet—perfect for rest and relaxation. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the entire visit smooth and enjoyable. The conference space was well-equipped and the food exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure stays!

We have stayed at this hotel a few times for the Houston Marathon and always enjoyed it. We came again this year and stayed in a corner room that had a view of the rooftop Texas-shaped lazy river, the pretty downtown skyline, and Discovery Green Park that's currently featuring an outdoor ice skating rink. The lazy river is heated, and there's also a large hot tub you can use. Our room was comfortable and featured a king-sized bed, a nice sitting area, a small refrigerator, a bar area, and a large flat-screen t.v. The bathroom was clean and modern; I missed having a bathtub, but those seem like they're getting harder to find these days. There were some nice touches provided like chocolate and ear plugs. Noise was not a factor for us, but we requested a quiet room away from the train. Check in and out were smooth and easy. The hotel is in a good location right next to the convention center and connected to everything via a skywalk, so you don't have to go outside in inclement weather which was great because it was very cold when we were there. There are good restaurants within the hotel and others just steps away. We used the self-parking option; valet service is available if you want it. Parking rates are high, but standard for hotels downtown. We had breakfast in the M Club concierge lounge, and it was very good with eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, juices, various breads/croissants, yogurt parfaits and a nice coffee machine. Service was good throughout our stay, and they offered us a late checkout which we appreciated. The location was perfect for the marathon, just a very short walk to the finish line. Overall we were very happy with our stay and look forward to coming back again next year.
