We stayed a night during the Rodeo cook off. Parking was a nightmare, not even part of the hotel we were told and very expensive. Check in was smooth but on a different level. Room was comfortable and the bed too. Nice rooms.

Very clean, good location, close to Rice university. The room not ready when I did check in, the manager tried hard and solved the problem.

The location was great, it is very close to museum district at Houston.

This Westin is very cost-effective. Another Oak Westin in downtown Houston is $100 more expensive. It only costs 12 yuan to take an Uber from this hotel to the Garlley luxury store in the city center. It takes 3 minutes to walk to Rice University. I will continue to stay here next time I come to Houston. You can choose to have breakfast in the hotel lobby restaurant. There are set menu options for about 20 US dollars.

The surrounding area is safe and close to RICE University and parks.
