We had a lovely and well equipped room on the top floor overlooking the city. The room was large and easily fitted in an extra bed for our 9 year old. You could open the sash window wide so wouldn't have been suited to younger children as could be dangerous. Although the service was great, the breakfast was rather average and disappointing for what we would expect from this type of hotel. We had an included rate but if you wanted something like eggs Benedict or avocado on toast rather than the full English you had to pay a £6 supplement. The most disappointing part of this hotel was the spa. It was quite small and very tired looking with lots of missing and chipped tiles. Overall for the money, it wasn't worth the price as it needs a bit of an update.
Steeped in history, Bath’s Henrietta House originates from the 1780s when a ‘new town’ area of Bath was built south of the river Avon. The architect of Henrietta House and the street was Thomas Baldwin who worked with Sir William Pulteney to divide up what had been river meadows.Today, Henrietta House offers a centrally located, tranquil setting with accommodation in 21 unique rooms.13;10;Bath was one of the most exclusive and glamorous cities in the entire world in the 1700s. Home to celebrated names such as Thomas Gainsborough (painter), Admiral Phillip (founder of Australia), and William Herschel (discoverer of Uranus), Bath was a spa town and retreat for the wealthy. A place where the upper echelons of British society could decamp from their country estates and London town-houses to meet, revel and make new connections over the summer months. The city was filled with the bustle of servants, the clatter of hooves and the chatter of the upper classes, gossiping over tea or duelling at the card table.13;10;Bath’s pre-eminence as ‘the place to be seen’ began to decline in the late 1700s. Whilst seaside resorts such as Brighton became the new fashionable hotspots for the privileged, Bath’s allure as a place of culture, healing and relaxation never disappeared entirely. Over two nights during the Second World War, Bath suffered heavy bombing, destroying much of the city close to the river. The scars of this trauma are evident in the entanglement of old and new buildings scattered across the city today.13;10;Bath is now as popular as ever. It is home to a large student population, drawn by the city’s two esteemed universities. Travellers flock to the city to admire the architecture and peruse the Roman Baths – the grandest amp; best preserved example in northern Europe. Meanwhile, the residents proudly inhabit a UNESCO world heritage city (courtesy of Bath’s Georgian architecture), and its streets are regularly employed as sets for film and TV, starring in films such as ‘The Duchess’, ‘Vanity Fair’ and ‘Sense and Sensibility’.

1. Location and Environment The hotel is located in the suburbs of Bath, England, surrounded by mountains and water, and surrounded by lush gardens and ancient tree-lined avenues. It is about 3 kilometers from the center of Bath, and can be reached by car or by hotel shuttle (reservation is required in advance) in 10 minutes. The surrounding area is within walking distance of souvenir shops, farm trails and scenic viewing platforms, which are suitable for walking and cycling. 2. Guest Rooms and Bathroom The manor-style Victorian villa has been transformed, and most of the guest rooms are decorated in classic British style, with soft tones and fireplace decorations. The rooms are spacious, equipped with comfortable beds and high-quality bedding, and have good sound insulation. The sanitation is in place, and the bathroom adopts a dry and wet separation design, providing bathrobes, slippers and L'Occitane toiletries. 3. Facilities and Services The hotel lobby and public lounge area are elegant and quiet, with a book bar, chess area and open fireplace; the outdoor courtyard and garden are equipped with outdoor seating and water fountains, and afternoon tea can be enjoyed in summer; the gym, sauna and small indoor swimming pool (swimming lane reservation required) meet basic exercise and relaxation needs; the front desk is open 24 hours a day, and the concierge can assist in arranging hot springs, horseback riding and surrounding tours; free Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue, and there are ample parking spaces. 4. Dining Experience ”Manor House Restaurant” focuses on seasonal British country dishes, using local organic ingredients; breakfast, lunch and dinner can be booked, and the chef's signature roast and hand-baked desserts are especially recommended; the bar ”The Coach House” offers British craft beer, classic cocktails and light food platters in a leisurely atmosphere. 5. Value for money: Located in the heart of Bath's core scenic area, the price is relatively high-end in the city center, but it includes a manor atmosphere and free shuttle service; early bird discounts are available for bookings during the off-season or on weekdays, and membership and package prices are more attractive; suitable for a variety of needs such as quiet vacations, weekend breaks, or British celebrations (weddings/team building). Tips: 1. It is recommended to book shuttle and swimming pool time slots in advance through the official website or by phone; 2. If you drive yourself, you can ask the hotel for a navigation map before arriving to avoid missing the entrance on the country road; 3. The restaurant is full on weekends and holidays, so you can consider booking a breakfast/afternoon tea package; 4. When the weather is fine, you may wish to bring a light picnic mat and enjoy the wildness in the garden or forest lawn; 5. It is close to the Bath Spa Museum and the Royal Crescent, and a half-day urban cultural tour can be arranged. Overall, the Bellbrook House Hotel, with its unique manor architectural style, quiet country environment and thoughtful service, provides an ideal choice for travelers who pursue quality vacations and private experiences. Welcome to experience it!

Situated in Bath's Royal Crescent, this magnificent hotel offers a fully equipped gym and a stunning spa, leading out onto a picturesque landscaped garden. It also offers an award-winning restaurant and a cocktail bar. The Bath House spa offers a relaxation pool, an additional relaxation pool with massage jets, a sauna with salt therapy treatments, and a steam room. Each bedroom at The Royal Crescent has an 18th-century-style décor and luxury bedding. There is free WiFi and paintings from period artists such as Gainsborough. Along with the Montagu's Mews restaurant, The Montagu's Mews Bar serves all-day dining options, cocktails, and champagne. The beautiful gardens are ideal for a traditional afternoon tea. The Bath House Spa is within an original coach house and stables. First occupied in 1775, the buildings are a 15-minute walk from the city-centre, Pump Room Baths, and the Theatre Royal. Bath Spa Rail Station is just 1.6 km away. We strongly recommend booking any dining in advance to avoid disappointment. Spa treatment also need to be booked in advance.

Its meant to be a luxury-ish short weekend getaways before my job starts as my partner can't take a long leave.
The delux double room is a huge disappointmemt.Understably, it is a very premium location and other guest probably pay a lot more. However, I wouldn't think of paying over £300 to get a room feeling like a old day servant's room. Being placed at the roof extension room with the view mostly blocked, the floor makes the typical old wooden cracking noise as we walk. The curtain, carpet and bathroom are not in the best condition. The glass on top of the table and desk are not well fitted.
Another thing is that, without any previous notice, the spa closed foe maintenance the morning we leave. The fake plants make it look less luxury than its branded.
The plus side, it is kind of inclusive which the spa pool, gym and breakfast are included. The breakfast is quite nice if you like English breakfast or they have some basic buffet.

Had high expectations of my stay and it was completely fulfilled and I was impressed.
Overall welcome and ambience was just right being professional and sincere.
Our bed room, junior suite after upgrading with extra fee, was reasonably sized although the bathroom with the layout of the door made it difficult and slightly dangerous to enter / close behind guest.
The spa village was busy but understandable; it felt clean and very updated overall so there was less of a concern on hygiene which is understood can be difficult to maintain standards.
The breakfast room, choices and service was fine as expected so it’s worth signing up for. Although by day 2, it was hard fo imagine having another breakfast so possibly having breakfast for one day as an option would be good.
Would have liked to have body lotion in bathroom as I had to rely on the one available in the spa village… and with 2 nights stay, toiletries were not replenished …
Always a nice welcome when soft drinks / mini bar is complimentary ; although it doesn’t cost a lot to fill a fridge but small gestures like these make guests feel more welcomed
Thanks for a great stay; would like to take my 80 year old mum here sometime in future as she would enjoy it tremendously !!

The hotel logo is not clear, the appearance photos are inconsistent with the online ones, and it is difficult to find by car. The booked room is completely different from the one introduced on xc and the area is small. You have to send an email before you check in. If you don't check in at the specified time, it is very troublesome. Hotel location is not bad, about 16 minutes walk from the attraction. The interior decoration of the room is very English, the breakfast variety is very good, and it is delicious.
